Jesus wasn't born on Winter Solistice. The Pagans have always celebrated the Winter Solstice as their religious holiday; and the church moved the celebration of his birth to Winter Solstice after many Pagans had converted to Christianity. That way, they could still celebrat the Solstice without reverting to Christianity.

Jesus did die and rise again during the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Passover; which just happens to coincide with the Spring Equinox.

Jesus was not born on winter solstice (the lambs were born and the shepherds were sleeping outside. It was probably early summer). They just preempted a Pagan holiday.

Easter is another story. Jesus' death was centered around the Jewish celebration of Passover. But again, a lot of the traditions and symbols of Easter have been taken from Pagan traditions.

Except both dates were changed because of Celtic holidays at those times. The bishops couldn't get the Celts to stop celebrating Yule so they deposited Christmas on top of it. They moved Easter to some absurd determination like the second Sunday after the Full Moon after the Solstice or something. This time to make sure the two holidays wouldn't be on the same day.

The date of Jesus' birth is unknown. Tradition has placed the celebration of it by most of the world at the time of winter Solstice. His death was timed to match with the Jewish Passover.

LOL!

Actually, no.

During the time of Christian Persecution, the first 400 years after Christ died, Christians hid their celebrations among the Pagan celebrations by celebrating at the same time.

Secular holidays only came into being after, being created by Satan, who didn't and still doesn't get it that he'll never be able to compete with God for anything. It's CHRISTmas and Easter, NOT Solstice, Xmas or Bunnies. Halloween was once a Christian holiday too which Satan took and twisted around to suit his own disturbed mind.

God created weathers, but one day they will disappear when He creates the New Heaven and the New Earth. The Bible said there will no longer be needed any sun -as God Himself will be the Light.
