be careful most trainers use a real human in a padded suit, the dog will most likely bite someone once they've shown themselves to be a true threat a dummy is just handing there and is no threat. Note how police dogs do not attack when the target stops running and gives up, they are no long a threat, if the target keeps moving the dog grips the person's arm or leg and takes them down. You sould be careful since you have no live target and sould have taught the dog only to grip the target on the arm or leg, your dog may end up attacking someone in the face, also you must teach the dog the leave or drop it command and it must respond right away. So far the dog views you as pack leader and you signal to him to go to the target, since the dummy isn't real it gives off no signals and you will have to train him to grip the arms and legs of the dummy and never the head or face, you can only dog this with a dog that has a natural love of tug toys you sould incourage him to tug the arms of the dummy via wagging the dummy's arms infrount of the dogs face if he grabs the dummy's arms praise him, ask him to release, if he doesn't make him and try again, most does who view their owners as top dog will release the target, then give him his normal toy as a reward for releasing the dummy;s arm or leg once he has done it correctly you may need to get professional help to have a safe attack dog other wise you may end up sued.

Training a dog to engage a human is more complicated then can be discussed here. You do not train your dog to engage a dummy. You do not have the experience to train a dog to do this. It is a long and carefuly laid out process that I am obviously not going to get into here. Take it from someone who has been training dogs in that field for the last 27 years.

A lot of mismash is being thrown approximately. In Germany a puppy have to be A rapid-typical or larger (hip stamp) and have to have a operating name aka Schutzhund or Herding name. Also a German Shepherd nor another breed will "Naturally safeguard you" if that have been precise there could be no Police Service Dog running shoes, no Schutzhund running shoes, and no one with any ole GSD/Dobie/Rottweiler could ever get robbed, however there are, and so they do. First of all you have got to begin with an excellent base aka now not your out of the paper American crap German Shepherd. You want a dog from European operating traces who's already displaying the trends it is going to have got to be a safeguard puppy as an grownup aka fearlessness, dominance, and by no means finishing vigor to play. 2ndly it is inconceivable to safely train your puppy to assault on command on your own, I can not do it, I'll by no means be competent to do it, and regardless of the way you proposal it might figure out to your head, you can not do it. 3rdly you would want a authentic helper/decoy and countless numbers of bucks of safeguard equipment like sleeves, scratch pants, whips, sticks and so forth...except you observed one to paintings with privately who had his possess equipment. Anyway, you would turn out to be spending approximately three-five,000 dollars doing it your self in a risk-free means that is amazing, well good fortune with that....-sarcasm-

You may not want to hear this, but why teach him to bite? You have all kinds of legal issues, and they can put your dog to sleep, if someone sues you.

If you have a big dog that barks, most people will be scared enough.

Its obvious to me you don't have the skill level to do this. I wouldn't recommend trying without professional help, you may very well turn your dog into a loaded weapon, and you never know when it'll go off.

Seek professional help for this type of training.
