I wanted to know how hard it is to replace a telephone microphone (in the handset where people talk into) with another new microphone? I searched the web and cant find any info on this subject? Is it complicated or just a matter of unscrewing it and putting a new one in its place? And where can I buy telephone microphones?

finding a microphone that will fit to your particular phone might be tough.

Take the broken one to the local electronics supply store and see if they can help.
might be easier to purchase new phone

It is impossible for you to do that because you as the end consumer are unable to purchase the necessary equipment.
I am sorry but you will have replace the handset to replace the microphone inside the handset sorry.
That is the only way a standard you have of solving the problem you are asking about.
