In one of my recent questions I got a decent bashing me because I claimed to be a nice guy and you didn't think I knew what a nice guy was.
SO, I will tell yopu waht I think a nice guy is and you can agree or not but give me a reason and any specific traits that you think make 'Nice Guy'.
Nice guys: bring flowers home at random just because, dance with you when a good song comes on and you are standing at the kitchen sink, tell you all the time that he loves you and thinks that you are beautiful, will kiss you hello and good bye without having to be asked, call at random just to let you know that he is thinking of you, will surprise you with the the purse that you thought was adorable but didn't want to buy yourself, will be your partner in crime as well as in life, will give you the space and freedom you require as long as you don't break his trust, will help raise the kids without being asked, and will make a romantic dinner and get a babysitter so you can spend time alone.

Please remember that my space is limited so I tried to hit some of the things that I thought were important. I'm sure I missed some so fill me in on things you think should be added.
And yes, those are all things that I do regularly whether you believe me or not.

All those things you listed are thoughtful, and things a nice guy might do, but they don't make someone a nice guy. (Note that I'm not saying you aren't a nice guy. I don't know, because I've never met you.)
A nice guy puts people he cares about first; he is thoughtful and considerate; he is genuine; he has strong morals, and sticks to them; he has a respect for himself, other people, and the world around him.
Or at least that's what I think.

A more boiled down version is a nice guy is caring, compassionate, a good listener, thoughtful, helpful, and kind. (starting to sound like a boyscout...lol!)
Those won't be all his traits, but any "nice" person (male or female) will have the above. The buying gifts, kisses, and phone calls you mention aren't nice person traits so much as romantic ones. A nice person may or may not also be romantic, but those things are sweet regardless.

You just summed it all up in my opinion! Nobody should ever bash you for being that way! Your ex-wife was crazy to let you go! (I'm serious!) She should of held onto you and never let go. I know that nobody is perfect, but a man that does all that would be pretty close to it in my book. That is all so sweet! You sound like a really great guy and I think you should stay just the way you are no matter what anyone says!

You do sound like a nice guy but I think you missed the most important thing is, it is when a guy listens to you and I mean really listen, it is a major turn on when my guy will ask me about something we talk about the week before even if it was something small.

If what you say is true, then I would say you're a nice guy. But how is your attitude? Are you happy go lucky? Surly? If someone teases you do you laugh or get huffy? Yes sometimes actions do speak louder than words, but if you were all those things, but completely disrepectful of me, my children or my family then I would drop you like a hot cake.
Doing all those things don't make you a nice guy; but it certainly is helpful.

Yes, that is a nice guy. Write books about it so other men will learn. Did you ever notice the nice guys get the stuck with the real bitches, and the nice girls get stuck with the a**holes. How does this match match always occur?

thats what makes a nice guy and if anyone bashes u for that screw them ok?...Wish my husband would do some of that lol....i mean he does some but not all of that lol
