Jesus said: "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven..."

If you have shared your faith in Jesus with gentleness and respect, like we are instructed in 1. Peter 3:15, and you still get insulted, how do you react? Rejoice that you made an impact or bite back? Honest answers please!

Awesome Question!

I am a Christian attempting to show JWs that they do not know Jesus. I get insulted left and right.

I react by continuing to pray for them to see the light, and continuing to make a point with them.

It is sad because they think they are the only ones who follow Jesus by going door to door.... truth is, they feel COMMANDED by Jesus to do this.... the difference is that I have such a strong personal relationship with Jesus that I want everyone else to know him and experience that too, so I share His news because I WANT to, not because I feel that I HAVE to.

That is the meaning of being a Christian. :o)

God Bless! xo Anna

With Jesus' words above, I am sickened at the Christians who have spouted so much hatred for Pangel, just because her beliefs are different from theirs. People have insulted her, have persecuted her, and have falsely said evil against her because of their views on what Christianity is. She has reward in heaven. She is a peacemaker, she is merciful, and she is pure in heart. She spreads kindness and love, and is repaid in mockery and insults. That is ghastly behaviour for those who claim to follow Christ.

But you know what...while I am disgusted by their behaviour, I still send them love and blessings. All people are in need of love, and to deny them that love just because they act cruel would be to admit defeat. Blessings of God on you all.

when I am insulted, I weep like a little girl and curl up into a fetal position where I remain for the balance of the day.

I agree with you. Regrettably, I see way too many Christians fighting back with insults. I hope they see your question and pause to reflect on this issue.
