I usually try not to let the snide remarks of others here bother me, they are if anything just usually amusing to me.
There are real people behind the remarks though, souls needing saved, and it's kind of sad sometimes.
This question came to me from a snide remark though, so for that, I geuss I'm thankful?
The guy said I did a pretty good imitation of a "firebrand" christian;whatever that means-I dont kno-and that my impression was "laughable at best" but this I do know, I AM on fire for God!
I am not ashamed to say it...I am a tongue speaking devil casting out laying my hands on peoples and theys gettin healed been baptized Jesus is my world kinda christian...and that's not bragging cuz it just should give testimony to just how powerful Jesus really is!
That he could take who I once was: strung out on drugs and involved in the occult & in severe depression-due to several family deaths ( including my father's suicide) and a recent job loss and homeless n jobless-n make ME ?

Yes I am and for those who scorn and mock -my prayers are with you that you may also come to know the joy of serving God by accepting that Christ died for you and is even now standing at the door knocking, waiting for you to invite Him in. The choice is up to you.

I think I'd like to use the term "passionate" for God, in which I can totally relate. Fire is a powerful force, as is God, so I'm sure you mean it in a good way. God I love God! :o] And just so u know, all us faithful followers of our Lord & saviour Jesus Christ have met with some sort of opposition or flat out mocking. Actually & honestly, makes my faith stronger, because once I "kill" them with kindness, I feel closer to pure consciousness (the Christ consciousness) then ever. You sound like you have come a long way, and I thank you for sharing~ may God bless us both on our spiritual journeys.:o]

Good for you! I am so proud of you.
Whatever you believe is yours...You found help whatever way you did
and your a GREAT person today!
Congratulation!

Look at all these people who are saying bad things about what you believe and how you came from down under to above and beyond,
They should be ashamed of themselves..How do they claim they are passionate people?

No. A few centuries ago I probably would've been SET on fire for your God - but I doubt that's what you mean.

BTW, you're what's known as a fanatic. And I'm sure you're "proud" of it - that's part and parcel of the fanaticism! All I can say is, if you knock on my door, I'll feed you your teeth. Other than that, flame on - away from me, and without trying to impose your nutty ideas on secular society.

(Of course, that's the REAL problem with fanatics - they don't know when to quit.)

By the way, this "Dead Man Walking" idiot that pastes in this same morbid crap for every answer - he really needs to go.

Yes the gospel and salvation of Jesus Christ does change a person when they hear it and receive it--it is amazing how the power of God can completely turn a person 360 and open their eyes to His truth!
When someone calls you a jesus freak or bible thumper, just say "THANK YOU!"

: )

God bless you my brother in Christ.
If you look at my other questions and answers and profile you will see I have been on fire for Christ for a long time.
Hang in there, it gets tough in this section sometimes. Some really good Christians get tired and quit. I pray that I will endure till the end.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

Self-imolation for a non-existent entity.... you can save that all for yourself....

Everything you say is nothing more than your experience. Your personal experience means squat to me. All of us experience diversity and angst in our lives. I was once an alcoholic, due to a terrible, heartbreaking relationship. I was told to clean it up or lose my job. It didnt take God to clean myself up - Im not that weak minded. I simply looked inside myself, realized that I was drinking out of depression and out of a hope that she would feel sorry and come back to me - and those were both really LAME reasons to drink. So, I stopped.

I guess you could say Im on fire for logic and reason. It has served me far better than your non-existent God has.

Matthew 5:10-12

10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
