You are (probably) not crazy. Heineken and other beers packaged in green or clear bottles are not protected from getting "light-struck". Beer gets "light-struck" from exposure to sunlight or fluorescent light and causes the skunky flavor/aroma. Some people think that’s part of the flavor profile, but it is not.
So Heineken on tap should not taste skunky, Heineken from a closed case or enclosed 12 pack might taste skunky, Heineken from an open six pack or a bar/package store display case exposed to sun or fluorescent light will definitely taste skunky. The degree of off-taste will depend on the length of exposure to the light waves. Green bottled beer will start to develop skunky off flavors within 2 minutes of exposure.
It is not a coincidence that most micro brewed beers are bottled in brown bottles which provide the most protection (besides cans, but that's a whole other story).

The date the beer was made and how it was handled can have great affect of the way beer taste. For example if the beer gets frozen in a refrigerator that is too cold, or if it gets too hot the taste will change. Make sure the beer is fresh you always want to the beer with the newest date on it. Also if your drinking out of a bottle or a can you always want to wipe the rim of the can or bottle because the tab or the cap will leave residue that can cause the beer to taste different.

It is without a doubt the single most overrated beer in the world. You need to get out more. Drink Hooegarden if you want something light. Even Pabst Blue Ribbon is way better than Heineken.

The worst area approximately Heineken in a bottle, is that if it has ever been uncovered to mild, this is going to scent skunky as hell. the golf green bottles do no longer do lots to dam out the image voltaic that may ruin down the hop compounds in the beer that produce the skunk smell. i might say kegged, or perhaps canned Heineken is greater effective because of the fact it should not be uncovered to mild. Bottles in an enclosed 12pack field would be sturdy too.

It could just be a result of the food you are eating each time, Heineken doesn't have an overpowering flavor so you can expect it to vary with your palate. Or you're just crazy

It could be that you drink it from the can one time and the bottle the next... I find that beer taste different depending on how if its bottled or canned.
