All these lardassses / couch potatoes that sit around all day would benefit; if they stop pedalling, the TV will turn off due to lack of electricity. And it would reduce the srtain on conventional energy sources.

Because of our energy intensive food production, every calorie of energy in our food requires 9 or 10 calories of fossil fuels to get it from the field to your fork. So you'd probably end up with more CO2...

...plus the level of exercise required would beyond that an obese person could manage for long.

You can do that now...
Simply hook up a little generator to a stationary bike..
I have seen it done before..
Why have you not done it yet ?
