my undertone is warm and am african american. please help.

Hi I am a cosmetologist. I would recommend using a color such as a mocha brown or a burgundy red. You would need to use a product that would give you a little lift and deposit since your hair may be too dark to just deposit color. I would recommend going to a stylist for suggestions.

Well I love highlights in black hair and I think wich ever highlights you choose you will look just gorgeous!

get some light brown colors...my friend whos hispanic has black hair too and she got light brown highlights and they lightened her hair a bit and it looked so good!

Deep red, light brown or honey blonde, nothing really bright.

I think a deep red (burgundy) would be nice. I would recommend going to a professional though...don't do it yourself.
