Depression doesn't always mean feeling sad all of the time. Common symptoms include:
*depressed mood or sadness most of the time (for what may seem like no reason)
*lack of energy and feeling tired all the time
*inability to enjoy things that used to bring pleasure
*withdrawal from friends and family
*irritability, anger, or anxiety
*inability to concentrate
*significant weight loss or gain
*significant change in sleep patterns (inability to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get up in the morning)
*feelings of guilt or worthlessness
*aches and pains (even though nothing is physically wrong)
*pessimism and indifference (not caring about anything in the present or future)
*thoughts of death or suicide
If you have five or more of these symptoms on a fairly regular basis for 2 weeks or longer, you may be depressed.
You should also keep in mind that you're still young and growing. You are still developing biologically and cognitively. The huge influx of hormones that teens experience can cause these symptoms and make you feel very emotional at times.
If these feeling have been constant for over two weeks now i would suggest talking to your parents. If you don't feel comfortable with talking to a parent, make time to see your school's guidance counselor. He or she should have tons of resources to help you with this problem. And remember, only a trained professional can properly diagnose and treat depression.
Good luck. :)

I were agony from put up partum melancholy for the beyond one 12 months while I gave start to a child boy. I could not quit considering how my husband loves him greater than me and the way matters possibly bigger if he wasn't born in any respect. Thus, I stayed clear of him seeing that I knew that I would do whatever I will remorse for the relaxation of my existence. Almost immediately I went to a therapist and persuade them that I want aid. Among different matters, I've attempted natural dietary supplements and different publication to regard melancholy however not anything works just like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to mention I'm one of the most happiest mom on the earth. My husband loves us each very so much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us. Depression Free Method?

Sounds like some type of Mood disorder which can also be related to depression....Maybe you should go see a school counselor or make an appointment with a doctor to see whats up. How long has this been going on for? Good luck and the best thing to do is to see a professional.

4/Is it depression or just stress
5/ As your in high school could be hormones

You have just describe symptoms of bi-polar. This can be controlled with the right medication but before that you need to consult a psychiatrist since he is the only one that can properly diagnose you and dispense the right drugs to you. Also, another symptom of that which goes along with depression is if you have been shopping more than usual or have a strong desire to do so. Or switching jobs more frequently.

If you think you are, talk to you Dr or a school counselor. Depression is more common that you'd think, and difficult to deal with on your own. Trust me. I've suffered with it since I was 13 and have only recently taken steps to improve my life (I'm 26). Life could have been alot better if I'd tried to seek help earlier.

You do not sound depressed but more like a bi-polar type of personality. Since you are young it could just be normal a normal teen thing but to be on the safe side see your doc and get checked out.

You could be bipolar, pregnant, or just pmsing alot. I suggest you evaluate what you are doing to cause these moodswings...it maybe you diet. Alot of factors can cause these...hopefully your having protected sex....so you can cross that out, but if not...i suggest that you get a doctor's dianosis!

you are a 100% normal american teenager. didn't anyone ever mention to you how "moody teenagers" are? don't worry about it, and tell your boyfriend to get off your case.
it's all a part of growing up, trust me.
