You could try http://www.petfinder.com to see local shelters in your area. You'd may have to pay at least a donation, but occassionally you run across a shelter that has many homeless animals you may be able to get on there. Also on the PetFinder message board there are often posts about new kittens that need homes. Also try your local newspaper classified, and bulletin boards at local pet stores.

I'm sure you already know this, but I always add this as a public service disclaimer on any free pet post. Please be aware that this animal will need vet care, and that can be expensive. Please don't adopt if you're not ready to assume the medical expenses of an animal.

Look in the paper.With all the horse farms there I am sure someone is trying to give some away.

You should go to the pound or look in the classifieds in your local paper. Cats are so fun. Good luck finding yours.
