I was repeatedly abused by a family member from the time I was 7 until 14. It took a long time for me to move on, I think anyone who says they are over it is just kidding themselves, you never get over it, but you can and do move on. And to those who have a problem with this question should not have clicked on it.

Sweetie, sometimes life beats us up as youngsters, personality changes while you were tiny ARE due to your surroundings. When we are little, we imitate what we see others doing. That is how we learn, by watching and listening to others we live with.
Your personality WILL be whom ever YOU decide to be. No one can take away happiness permanently. If YOU feel you need to improve your personality, then seek help from a counselor about YOUR griefs. Only God and YOU have the powers to HELP yourself kiddo~ Him by giving You strength , YOU to take that strength and use it to full fill what you wish with your life.
People that are dealt hardships in their youth are STRONGER happy and MORE helpful and LOVING as adults than people who never have it rough. (c:
YOU have the power to heal and to move up and on to a happy personality.

I have a question...if you're only 13 how come your asking these questions about abuse? Are you being abused presently? If so, go to your school counselor or a police officer or a lawyer and stop the trouble...If you're just asking out of curiosity, then put a check mark down for me...

I was both physically and mentally. Thank god I haven't continued that cycle. And I also gotta say that having children myself now I can not understand how anyone can hit and swear at a little kid.
