Not everyone who don't agree with your beliefs BASH ppl.
Just because I'm a Christan dose not make me have the right to bash others.and The same go's for non-believers,
we may not agree, but thats your free wiill and mine to do so.

The only reason Christians testify of their faith in they (because of what they believe) have a concern for other Human beings. And we wish you well and that Heaven will be your Home. It's love that motivates us. (please rember we really belive) you may not thats your choice but don't we deserve a choice also?
and I'm sure there are many many good intelligent non-believers and believers alike, I don't judge you, just love you.

Let's not judge everyone by those who are hate mongers who like to disagree with anything. just to get thier jollys.
Everyone even ppl. we don't agree with have the freedom of choice and faith so lets not bash, let's love each other.

Wise young friend, may I add a bit?

You claim some testify about their faith because they have a "concern for other Human beings." (sic) Let it be known that TRUE ALTRUISM doesn't pick and choose based on a particular point of view, it doesn't "judge". True concern for other human beings would be protecting them from SUFFERING AND HARM no matter who or what they are and believe... so I figured I'd just tack some clarification to that... after all it says pretty much the same thing in lots of Christian literature about the subject of "true love", which is much like Buddhist altruism. I refer anyone to that little ditty about what true love is in case you're wondering...

I only bash when someone bashes me. For example, an e-mail that was sent to me by my (ex)best friend stated:

Linny,
I found out that u r a Unitarian Universalist, not Christian. I also found out that u dont believe in God. I dont wnt 2 b friends with u nemore. u r bing stupid and u will burn in hell 4 not believing. I cant believe u were eva my friend.
GB 4eva, *****

(Note that the above spelling is not mine, I copied and pasted it straight from the e-mail.)
When stuff like that happens, I have to get upset, I mean, after two years of being best friends, she leaves me without any real reason besides that I don't believe in god? So whenever people tell me I'm going to burn in hell, it brings back all these feelings of anger, betrayal, hate, depression, and sorrow. I can't help but attack people (with words.)! I try not to, but it happens anyways.

I am neither a Christian nor an atheist, but you said:
"The only reason Christians testify of their faith in they (because of what they believe) have a concern for other Human beings. And we wish you well and that Heaven will be your Home. It's love that motivates us. (please rember we really belive) you may not thats your choice but don't we deserve a choice also?"

Do not atheists also have the right to say:
The only reason atheists talk about religion is that they have a concern for other Human beings. And we wish you well and that you will be safe from harm and manipulation. The news stories are so full of people who allowed terrible things to happen because of their belief in God, and we know otherwise, and don't want you to experience these harms for a myth. It's love that motivates us. You may not agree, but thats your choice but don't we deserve the chance to save you?"

When you attack someone's deeply held beliefs, you aren't attacking the person, but don't imagine for a moment most people will know that!

I was just about to post the same kind of thought! I just recieved a very ugly bashing on my 360 page from someone who disagreed with me. They cursed me and my family. It is so uncalled for! This should be a place for debate. If some cant grow up and except that not everyone agrees on most things, then they really need to just get off here!

I have my opinions. I am a Christian. I actually enjoy debating with non-believers, but I would never personally attack you and your family!

i agree.

i don't like to see all the bashing and ranting (o.k., sometimes it's funny) that goes on here.

everyone has a right to believe, or not, the way that they want to. i will not try to convert anyone to my beliefs, and i would appreciate the same courtesy from others.

i know that as christians (i used to be one) you believe that it's your job to spread the news, but what you have to remember is that everyone on this site has already heard and made a decision about this. please try to keep that in mind.

Nice of you to recognise the rights of others to believe as they will. Too few people do, sadly. As an atheist, I've had a few unflattering things said to me on this forum, but I've also had the old 'Jesus loves you anyway' speech. That's cool with me. I may not agree, but at least it's a positive message. Peace. :)

you see, christians get bashed because of arrogance, I was christian for many years, and ive yet to see one walk the walk, theyre all full of hot air and not much else. As for myself i realize that if you believe you are evil you will become the evil that you believe yourself to be. If God made us then he made no junk, and if we are perfect, then the adam and eve story is one big lie,

that is all

In my opinion, arguing about religion is pointless. Some people are capable of having a insightful conversation but more often then not it just turns ugly. People just need to learn to respect other people and their beliefs. It's so simple yet so impossible.

Gee. Xians do this *a lot*! They complain w/o giving even one single sample (>1 would be appreciated). So we're left with not knowing what constitutes "bashing" in *your* mind.

I'm gonna speculate, since I'm given no information... Is my saying: "There are no Gods, no angels, no demons, no Heaven, no Hell ('cept Norway), etc." a "bash"?

If so, then having you say: "There is a God (My God), and a Heaven..." is an equal and opposite bash. Kindly respond.

I am glad to hear that you do not bash others....BUT< even if you really believe, I do not. I do not go around wishing you well and telling you that the life ends with death. To each his own, but don't try and save me and I will do the same for you.
