No, God refers to other gods in Genesis. There must be a whole pack of them chilling out in Eden eating magical fruit.

It is indeed monotheistic. Some hear the blessings or prayers in "The name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit" but those are NOT 3 seperate gods, they are 3 ways of looking at the same god. Jesus wasn't the Son of God in the same sense that Zeus had sons. Calling Jesus God's 'son' is about Jesus being the earthly being that was god and paradoxically human, both perfect and flawed.
So don't think we're worshipping a family of gods, it's just different ways of looking at the same thing.

if the essence of being a monotheistic religion is belief in one and only one God, then Christianity really is a monotheistic religion. Its foundational document the Bible and all its commentaries indicate belief in one and only one God, and that that belief is essential.

Yes. It is monotheistic.
They have a deity that can wear a mansuit and stuff, but it's still one GOD and a buncha lesser powers.
Please don't lump us polytheists with Christians- we don't want them either.

Yes, Because God is one, He is just three people, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, like a man could be a father, a son, and a brother, or our Psyche is three, ed, ego, and super ego, or The US government is one government but it consists of three bodies, executive, legislative and judicial. There are countless examples of such a trinity, they are all one but also three.

Christianity is a Monotheistic belief - not religion.
Religion is how you practice your belief. Christianity is a lifestyle.
