I agree.
What's the point in creating us if in the end he punishes us?

You are trying to equate earthly concepts to God. God is not of the earth. God does not have to go either or. He only does. Evil began the instant the Angel Lucifer defied God. Evil comes from his jealousy. The Devil's life's work is to try and keep us from God.

According to biblical thought....God created freewill.....so you he gave the opportunity for choice. Lucifer (Satan) made a choice and turned against God, and he was cast from Heaven. Hope that helps. Maybe a question regarding why God gave man freewill...might get some interesting results. If he created perfection, why tempt it.

Yes, God would have created "good" and "evil". You are correct about God as well, as there are varying degrees of good and evil. Yes, I agree with you.

Knowledge of evil is to avoid it's trap. We have free will. Altho, I haven't seen much in my life so I'd have to go with destiny. For cheryl above if Lucifer is a proper noun, so is GOD.

Hi!
Have you forget about satan?
Satan wanted a glory or a position like the one deserved only by God...then God punished satan ..who is a fallen angel today and hates us and everybody..and invented the evil. temptaions and acts ..So satan does the evil ..

Lucifer, His fallen angel, told god that he could get everyone to believe that god is not real, and god said "no you can't"
and Lucifer said "yes I can" and then god said "Show me"
Since you should already know this, I wrote in childish terms, maybe then you'll understand...

God created good and evil. I agree to this.
However God is good and does not hate.
His creative ability does not define his moral capabality.
