The tests rarely come back negative if you are pregnant. Perhaps if you try another you could try the 'Early Response' pregnancy test (I think it's in a pink and white pack). Gd luck.

A pregnancy test should have given a reliable result 4 days after a missed period, although a very small percentage of women find they don't work for them.
There is no reason why you can't try again today. It is very unlikely that you will get a negative today and a positive on Friday if you are already a week late.

They say wait two weeks, reason for this is that after conception, it then takes 6-12 days for the egg to travel (implantation), some more of a longer time, some shorter, and then another 5-7 days for the release of the pregnancy hormone.

Its hard to be patient, believe me!!! am still waiting, but doing tests I feel time only drags out, it is costly and also I'm starting to hate the disappointment!!!!

Wait two weeks then do it, Good luck hun x

People get false negatives all the time. I think waiting for Friday is a good idea. If you still get a negative, call your doctor. They can confirm with a blood test, and if you aren't pregnant, they can give you something to help you start your period.

You should test first thing in the morning, I once took a test and it was negative. Took it again a week later and it was positive. If you still are not pregnant and you haven't gotten your period, you should see your doctor.

take it now, these tests usually show straight away if it is still negative then you are probably not pregnant anxiety and worry can make your period late, so can dieting and a few other things. but if you continue to be late i would consult a doctor to put your mind at rest

It depends on when you expect you possibly got pregnant too...not just how late you are. I most likely would wait another week or two before doing another or you can go to the doctor and they can draw blood which will show right now if you are or not.

2 weeks after your late is usually a good time to take a test. i know its hard to wait , because i wasted allot of money taking pregnancy test to earlier,If you can go to a health clinic and they can do a blood test which is supposed to detected if your 6 days pregnant. good luck

Yeah you're meant to leave about a week between each test so Friday should be fine. Good luck

okay - it takes about 14 days after conception for the 'baby' to implant itself into your uterine wall - only at that stage is the pregnancy hormone detected in your urine.

i tested too early and got a negative, waited until 14 days and then got a positive.................. I know it's really hard to wait but it will fly in (honestly!)
