The religious people on here are so radical, they want everything THEIR way and condemn people who don't think like them. Spirituality is about angels, kindness, cherishing the Earth, animals, it's all positive. Maybe Yahoo can change that.

So you don't misunderstand, I listed the things that I feel are spiritual to me, and my list wasn't complete because I wanted to keep it short. I agree that religion and spirituality can be different for each person. And as I said, it's the zealots that put others down about their religions that I don't think belong in the Spirituality section.

"Spirituality is about angels, kindness, cherishing the Earth, animals, it's all positive."

Where does that definition come from?

Seriously, it's so far from any definition I've ever seen, that it's like you're speaking a different language.

If this was "religion" not "R&S" you'd see even more people trying to kick others out because they felt THEIR religion was really religion, and other religions were not.

You are using a connotative meaning for religion and spirituality not a denotative.

As long as we remember the denotative meaning then there is no problem with the two being grouped together.

I personally don't think that many agree with your connotative meaning of spirituality, that list sounds you should add unicorns, fairies, and leprechauns.

I think its the larger generalization that they were going for, in that it refers to a belief system. Everyones belief system amounts to equal representation, therefore, it doesn't categorize between mainstream religions, doctrine, or personal beliefs. I think its a good thing (though personally I feel it should also incorporate mythology, as that is just the religion spirituality section of years past)

I agree that a lot of 'religious' people are radicals. But I disagree with your definition of 'spiritual'... I think that spiritual means to be in tune with the spirit, which is God... can't leave Him out.

Yes I agree Religion should be separated from Spirituality.
So many people are offended when Christians quote the bible. There are 40 authors of the bible and everyone of those authors gave credit to God. No other book can make this statement.

I agree with you. And this one's for the conservatives who think organized religion is in the best interests of the country....."Follow the money!"- Rush Limbaugh. If a preacher, etc asks you for a lot of money, they have nothing to do with spirituality.

I don't think their should be a section on Spirituality as the term is far to vague to mean anything at all.

If I get involved in hatred and graphic, violent imagery to please Kali, the goddess of murder, that's spirituality, but you would exclude it from your definition. Others would exclude your definition. It is meaningless because it can mean anything.

If we seperated the two, some arrogant SOB will post in the wrong section! i rather like it this way, that way the people thinking theyre spiritual and are not, can post in the religious category

They should remain together. Christian is only one who have the knowledge on spiritual, how it work, and how to take care of their spirit correctly. Why pulls something apart only so others get false and wrong information?
