I have one spayed female and two neutered males. Both males prefer the female to each other (for grooming and snuggling purposes) if that means anything.

Does she have any catnip toys she plays with a lot? The smell of catnip sexually arouses cats, so if she's smells like it that would explain it. Or maybe check there isn't a patch of the actual plant in your garden. If this isn't the case then check with your vet, because female cats are supposed to go on heat every now and then and they send a smell (which we don't detect) that attract all the guys. If she's been spayed then she should no longer be able to go on heat. And if the males were castrated then they shouldn't be bothered at all by sex - ever.

No. Male cats are drawn from smelling the female in heat. Cats can smell this for three to four miles. Once the female is spayed, she will no longer produce the musk that draws the males.

Not as much. They don't go into heat so they are not as attractive and of course they can't get pregnant. But one spring, I did have a stray male annoying my spayed female - she did not know what to do with him and ran away from him at every opportunity. Eventually he did move on.

No, when they spay them, they don't come into heat anymore, so the smell that attracts the male is gone.

I don't think so, because they don't go into heat. Which is what creates the pheromones that attract males. You might see cats still coming around, but it's just curiousity.

yes, male cats will still be interested in the female because they are not aware that she is fixed, now the female cat may not want to be bothered.

Ask yourself this question - do sterilised women attract men?
