Every time we are issued more than sufficient stationary of every kind for official purpose. We seldom find anything handy when needed. Why and who takes away all the printing papers, stapplers, etc home?

Some people take stationary home because it's easier than buying stuff and they rationalize that it's a perk of the job.

Personally, I bring stationary to work. The pens they stock here are really awful, I buy my own rather than use the ones they stock.

I guess they're trying to save money by taking stuff from the office and bringing it home instead of going to the store to buy it.
