Hey, im going to be having a tooth implant soon and was just wonderin if any one else has had the procedure done under local anesthetic? Does it hurt very much during/after? thanks!!

I had two on the top front done last year and two on the other top front down in January. Each were under local anesthesia. It doesn't hurt during the procedure, but after the procedure, follow the instructions they give you for the healing period. You'll be fine. Implants are God's 3rd set of teeth to us.

Look at my avatar. I have implants. I had all my teeth pulled, implants placed and teeth attached in a procedure called "Teeth in a Day" all with local anesthetic.

No it doesn't hurt during the procedure. If your tooth is already gone you will hurt very little if at all because the roots are gone. Maybe only sore at the site of the implant. For me I had some pain but remember my teeth were pulled at the same time but it was manageable with medication and ice.
