Question about Speaking in Tounges/Words of Knowledge, Miracles?

Question

My sister attending a local Assembly Of God Church for 18 years in our city. In her Church they practic speaking in tounges/words of knowledge found in 1st Cor and 2nd chp Acts etc.

Every Sunday someone would stand up and give a word of knowledge, or speak in tounges and someone else would give the interpretation.

In other words "Hear from God"

My question is: Why didn't they ever get a word that said: Pastor Dave (Youth Pastor) is down stairs right down molesting little Boys, ages 3-12. He is harming little children right beneath your very feet as he has done for the past 13 years?

WHY?

Instead they got things like: Oh my little children...seek my face & word, ye shall seek me and I shall be found where as ye shall look I shall be there for ye shall seek me and I shall be found, bla, bla, bla.


note: Pastor Dave is now in Prison, the Senior Pastor was also found guilty...trying to pay quiet money...he's gone too...turns out he was having an affair with a woman.

Briefly, congregants are sometimes, in effect, devotees of church leaders. It seems the unethical leaders know how to manipulate people into this state and weed out members that think for themselves. I don't think the obvious failure in this case should be considered the final arbiter on the perpetuity of spiritual gifts although we can certainly fault this church and especially its leadership. I suspect God was speaking about this terrible situation. The people in the church just weren't tuned into his frequency. In the face of such extreme sin and failure by church leadership and a congregation as a whole it can be very difficult to separate the church's failure from God himself. I would not let other people's sin or failure rob me, however, of my relationship with God, or of whatever gifts he may want to use in ministering life to me.

The Lord has taken care of this matter, don't you think if they both are in prison? And everything done by God is done in order, and speaking in tounge is a gift that you don't practice, so feel at peace now that God has taken controll.

That's a good question. Okay, so why doesn't the all knowing , all loving god warn us specifically about horrible abuse going on in the church basement or the house next door?

You know this is something I have thought about quite a bit. There really is no answer to that I belive. When I get to Heaven if I do, I will ask him that for sure. I mean WHY do people like that proclaim to be a Christian? Easy cover up? Who knows. How sad.

Perhaps you never read this from the Bible.....?

(2Corinthiansw 11:13-to-15) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

(2Co 11:14) And no marvel; = = for Satan himself = = is transformed into an angel of light.

(2Co 11:15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers = = also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; = = whose end shall be according to their works.

The only 'speaking in tongues' that I believe in was when the teacher taught in his language, but the listeners all heard in their own birth language. I only know of one person who did that, and THAT was only one time. God doesn't operate on man's schedule.
