Do you really have to ask? Don't send any money to any strangers who spam you over the Internet.

I have had the same email from "her " too. I can tell that this is a scam!! Refer to Elena Petrova. She has written a book about this type of scam. It is an online book for about 25 bucks. Its worth it. I have asked "Tatyana to send me a picture of her holding a Thursday newspaper so I can see the day and date, and a phone number to call her. You can be sure this person, almost surely a GUY, will do no such thing. In short, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY UNDER NO, NO CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! You will be ripped off!! Read the book. I love to lead these scammers on so they waste their time. I hope this helps.

Its a scam man. Why would you give 1000 to a shiela from the other side of the world you are better off giving a thousand bucks to charity

Nope never had but you know the old saying... never talk to strangers!! (lol)
Anyway if you don't know this person don't do anything about it, or ask her how she got your email, etc.
