We are moving from Orlando to California and we have a cat. We are planning on driving, but we don't want our cat to have to suffer in a car for a week. Is there any company that boards and ships animals?

You can do this yourself it is very easy. I have tips on preparing the cat carrier and other tips on my site. Then you can go online and find a good Cat Only Kennel in your New Area and ask them to pick up at the airport for you. I have cat kennel in Portland Oregon and we do it all the time. For very little extra maybe $40.00 for airport Pickup and delivery to our kennel. If you hire a company to arrange all this it will cost a lot. If you have any concerns or need additional info please do not hesitate to email me. Here is the page with tips

Oh the first step is to call the airline cargo office like Continental or Delta or Alaska Air. They will give the fees and times.

Depending on what your cat is like, a small cage might be OK. I put both of my cats in a small dog cage for a 10 hour trip and they were mostly fine. After an hour they calmed down and slept most of the way.

We take our cat with us on trips all the time. This would depend on the size of your car. We have a trailblazer and in the very back we have room to put her litter box. She tends to eat less and sleep even more on our trips. We have every thing available to her that she needs. Every time we get out we would clean out her litter box. It really depends on you. Besides that after my experience with pet travel services I will never use one again if I can help it.

i've never heardof that and honestly , and unfortunately
your going to have to consider a large pet carrier
and keep it in the car with you so you can comfort the
animal and check on her / him either way , its goin to be stress full for your cat during take breaks in driving put her/ him on a small leash and let her/ him out to stretch walk a bout a bit
