God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is righteous and man is not. Man did fall from God because of sin and because of this seperation from God man inherited death. God had a plan before he created man to redeem him into God's righteousness and this plan for man's salvation included the Son being born on Earth a man to overcome temptation as a man and to remain perfect and to pay the penalty of death for those who accept the atonement.

No He is not. He is God.But He looks like a man.I mean He - God ..or The Holy Trinity:God the Father, Jesus - the eternal Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. All three look like 3 Men.
Although the theology said only Jesus looks like a man.
But the prophets from the Bible, Ezekiel , Daniel, and Isaiah, saw God The Father and he looks like a man. Daniel saw Jesus looking like a man thousand of years before Jesus was sent on the Earth being born of the Blessed Virgin.
If you reffer to Da Vinci Code --Jesus wasn't a man.
How could He be a man when He was a God?
He just got a body like ours in order to live among us but he didn't take it with our human feelings of a Man in oposition with a Woman.Because Jesus is also a God ..cannot fall in love Jesus..takes care of humans like of children...

If you mean the Bible God then yes and no. Jesus is man, and refers to God as the "father" a masculine name.
And no, because God is not like us where we would have a gender.
But since the Bible God was made up by confused sheep herders in a time of male dominated societies, God was made a man.
So yes and no.
As for how I envision God, definetly not.

although it was said man was made in his image no where in the Bible does it say that god is a man
he says i am what iam
he has been and always will be no human could ever claim that
god is a spiritual being and since nobody has seen him its all about faith if you are asking if he is a male well idont think he is like us so we may never know

He looks like Jesus, only older (cuz he is the father of christ) so he has long grey hair, a greyish beard, tattered clothes, "jesus joggers" for footwear....and he carries a big stick, so he can send bolts of lightning down to strike people.
