They make "ensure" for kids, u should give it a try, they have different flavors, and it has vitamins, Maybe she will like it? I have the same prob, with my 2 yr old. She is very active, but eats like a bird, so I make sure I give her those gummy vitamins and make sure when she eats , that she has, lots of fruits and veggies. Also, buy some cereal, with fiber,! but not too much fiber, cuz it can be hard on the tummy. They also came out with chips that are made from vegetables. So, theres lots of things out there, the only downside is, that she is still kinda young for some things, so it would be wise to consult her doctor, if u are unsure.

As long as she is following the growth curve, do not worry about her weight. Toddlers are starting to be very independent, and sometimes encouraging them to eat can have the opposite effect. Many are simply too busy to eat!

I would talk to your pediatrician if you're concerned about her weight. As long as she is on the weight curve chart, and its relatively proportional to her height, I really wouldn't worry about it. Many toddlers (my daughter included) eat like birds (we can my daughter a little sparrow) - picks at thing and barely eats a couple of bites. But as long as she's healthy and active and growing, thats what matters. And it sounds like your daughter is perfect.

Children amazingly seem to thrive eating like birds. This picky phase is normal. She'll eat what she needs, but to make you feel better, you could give her pediasure. It's a kids protien/vitamin shake. At that age, my daughter loved stuff she could eat with her fingers, peas, etc. We also gave her Morningstar vegetarian sausages cut up really small. They have lots of vitamins. She still loves them.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, unless your pediatrician has talked to you about her weight, it's not an issue. However, you can try things with good fats, like avocados, things made with good oils, whole milk yogurt (YoBaby is really good), cheese, and cottage cheese. Nuts (if you've tried them) are a good source of good fats too.

Don't give your child those nutripals or pediasure things, the only time you really need those are if your child is significantly underweight.

Try PediaSure. It is a drink that is filled with vitamins, calories, and nutrients. They also have snacks. You could also give her Carnation Instant Breakfast to drink with her milk a few times a day if you choose that instead. This should help her gain the weight.

Not to worry about her weight so long she is bright and alert. Medical reports has it that it is no good for a child to be fat. That could led to many complication later in life. However, PEDIASURE is a good source for food if you are worry that she is not having enough. Check it out.
