You can ask the stylist to use an ammonia free or low ammonia Demi-permanant color such as "Wella Color Touch" in a shade matching your natural color. Make sure that the stylist is educated enough to know that a filler in the previously lightened hair must be applied first for a truer, richer color that lasts longer and doesn't have odd undertones. The previously colored hair is going to be more porous than your virgin haircolor and therefor fade more. You can purchase a shampoo or conditioner containing color pigments (like brown, red etc..) to keep the color fresh. An example of a product like this would be Artec color depositing shampoos and conditioners.

Use a level 3 color. Herbal essence or another product. They are not a permanent color and will last 25-36 shampoos. You can match your color as best as you can and continue to wear it until your healthy hair grows out.

I love my natural hair color, if I dye it than I will never ever get my hair the same way. I do believe that if you dye it then your hair will dry out more. But I'm not sure. If I were you than I would do all natural. :D

all colours hurt the hair in some way, just need to take care of it afterwards. go to a good colourist and have them do it....as they can give you great tips on how to look after it during and after colouring! xxx

oh, and yes you can always have colour fixed so it can be made the same colour....give or take a shade or 2 from your natural colour xx
