It hurts only when I touch it with my tongue.

I think it's a stomata or mouth ulcer. I have one, too. They can be very painful, too. I had a bout of them, one after another, they were bad enough to go to the doctor. He gave me a prescription cream. It helped a little. I think they come when the body gets too acid.

There are three possibilities:

1. You bit yourself bayly

2. Bacterial infection.

3. Oral Cancer.

If it persists for more than two days without signs of reduction, get to your doctor ASAP.

Sounds like an ulcer, or maybe a burn from some hot food. If you can bear the pain, try some Bonjela, thatll sort it out. Stings like heck tho, be warned!!!xx

have you burnt your mouth recently with hot food or had anything particularly acidic?

Could be a large ulcer.

Best get it checked by your oral hygienist.
