All the different makes of drinking chocolate are just sugar, dried milk whey and some cocoa. If you look at the ingredients some have very high sugar content.

Don't kid yourself. The best drink is made from pure cocoa at a fraction of the cost.Just add a little sugar to taste. If you microwave it then any little lumps of cocoa break up.

Once you have had a good cup of cocoa there is no going back.

My favorite is the one on the Hershey's Cocoa Container (this is the single serving microwave recipe):

2Tbsp sugar
2Tbsp Hershey's cocoa
dash salt
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in a large mug. Heat milk in microwave at High for 1 1/2 minutes or until hot. Gradually add milk to cocoa mixture;stir well. Stir in vanilla.

This is by far the best recipe, but if you don't want to make it from scratch, then just Swiss Miss, but make sure you use milk!

There is a mexican chocolate that is called la abuelita. Walmart carries it. Is good for a fast fix. But if you have time, you can make your own according to your taste buds.

That is one of my favorite drinks, hot chocolate...well in my opinion when you are making a cup of cocoa, the best to buy is cocoa powder I can recomend Hershey cocoa powder.
when making this you cannot resist a creamy texture and you cannot use skim milk... :)

one cup milk
one cup whipping cream
one stick of cinnamon
Heat it low enough to boil but not over flow
add three tablespoon of cocoa powder
and two squares of dark chocolate for cooking.
Sugar for your taste and small pinch of salt.

YOu can only use the cocoa powder or both.
It tastes amazinly good.

Enjoy it.

The best one is Cadburys original hot chocolate powder. Make it with 3 heaped teaspoons in hot milk and add marshmallows and cream. Lovely!

Cadbury Break is my favourite. If you have a bit extra to spend, I recommend Charbonnel Et Walker. And if you're out and about, I adore Costa hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.
