Ok God can't be proven by science be cause hes said to be super natrual. science is the study of nature. so evolution is a more scientific aproach but alas even evolution can not be proven. For something to be scientific fact it must be observable, measurable and repeatable. evolution may fit one or two but not all three(I don't believe it fits any).1 why do we want to argue about faiths(yes if evolution can't be proven its faith)? 2 is any one willing to sit down and discuss this open minded with the other belief

ok look up scientific law. how does one measure evolution. you may be able to measure time but not evolution in its self your web page did not do any thing but debate circular Ideas looking at bones does not mean evolution I saw the bones but not the actual evolving of this species. if it takes millions of years we will never see/observe it

...discuss what...? Science is science.... and the Supernatural attributes of God are Gods... (what the argument...?) Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.... Hebrews 11:1. (like air)....

Evolution can be proven. Just because YOU fail to acknowledge facts doesn't mean that SCIENCE ignores those facts.

1. Evolution is observable... over a period of time. Observable in science doesn't mean you see it happen in front of you RIGHT NOW... it can be measured and observed over time. We don't SEE plants grow actively but we know they do because we observe and measure their growth over time.

2. Evolution is measureable. See item one, same explanation.

3. Evolution is repeatable. Life, plants, animals... all are evolving all the time, all around you. The process repeats continuously.

So... evolution can be proven. It does not require faith, it requires time, patience, observation and scientific fact.

I believe we can sit down and discuss this openmindedly... but only if you open your mind as well.

On my most open minded days, I acknowledge there MAY be a god. Can you acknowledge that evolution MAY be true? I doubt it, based on your details above.

Its a debate and debating is always fun!

Religions can't prove they are fact
Science can't be proved as a fact

I agree with you 100%, Evolution is a faith. People believe it so much, that they forget that nothing has ever been 100% proven without a doubt, They believe whatever the scientist say, the same scientist who can't prove anything, and continuously test over and over, just so that the government will continue to fund them, and they can continue to pay their bills. They are robbing hard-working tax-payer's everyday!
AS WELL AS RELIGIONS...

edit* here some more...
Someone says, "Evolution is not a religion." Evolution IS a religion, because it lacks scientific evidence, thus requiring it's adherents to follow Darwin's theory by FAITH. Evolution is a RELIGIOUS CREED based upon blind faith. There is not in existence one single piece of scientific evidence which proves that man has evolved upward from animals. It is impossible to prove any theory of origins "scientifically," because the very essence of the scientific method is based upon OBSERVATION and EXPERIMENTATION, and no scientist has ever observed or experimented with the origin of the universe.

DO YOU KNOW ANY SCIENTIST THAT OBSERVED EVOLUTION TAKING PLACE???
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and for the one below me....God puts MAN on earth about 6000 years ago

You are correct is 4 million years old or so a scientist told us...God made it very clear, that we are not the first that he created

No kidding! I'm all for sitting down and discusssing something like reasonable, mature, adults should do... but arguing, name calling, and judging don't solve anything. I'm so sick of this arguement.

Additionally, the argument is moot anyway. Everyone has their own ideas and opinions that range from being an athiest and believing that evolution is exactly how most scientists descibe it, to being a conservative/fundamentalist who believe the story in Genesis is absolute truth... but really, most of us believe something in the middle, so who are we arguing with?

Athiests calling believers "stupid," and Christians quoting Pascal's Wager to athiests, isn't going to help anything!

I don't understand why each group is so threatened by the other, anyway? Is it that important to you that you're right? To each their own! If someone could prove without a doubt that, eg, Hinduism is fact, then I could easily accept that, even though I currently believe Jesus is Lord.... I'm willing to accept that, even though I think I have a pretty dern good idea, I may not be right, and that's okay with me...

BAH! ...i'm done now...

I am not one that asks the questions that are put out there deliberately to argue over.

However if someone calls Christians stupid, I may jump in.

I hear that evolution is observable measurable, and repeatable. Sure it is. Your assignment is to prove evolution by observation, measurement and repeatability, all three.

Return to this group once your assignment has been completed.

Plants growing is not evolution.

Yes, we all use less than 10% of our brain capacity. That is accepted, but it does not make us stupid since stupidity is a relative thing. It is comparative.

Evolution is proven. It is not something people believe in, you either accept it or deny it. There are thousands of pieces of evidence, some enough to prove evolution alone, in every scientific field. All the mechanisms of evolution are not known, explaining the theory, much like gravity. It amazes me that people still don't know what a scientific theory is. Evolution is a theory and fact.

As many said already. If it was proved there would be no space to argue. I disagree with that, but that is something else.
People argue politics for the same basic reason, and the less they know about politics or religion the more determined they are that they are right and everybody else is wrong.

I don't believe in God(s) so that kind of puts an end to Creationism in all of its forms as far as I am concerned.

I believe that a million dollars exists, even though I have never seen it. You say we cant prove that God does exist, Can you prove he doesnt? Why do people argue about this. I think its all about faith and beliefs, and when someones faith is challenged, and especially if its a strong faith, the natural reaction is to defend it. I myself, could careless what others say and think about it , I believe in God, and noone or nothing will change what I believe.

All the answers you have gotten so far are all valid. I would add that sometimes people argue points that cannot be proven as a way of showing off their knowledge on a particular subject. This is not just limited to the R&S of Y!Answers. People love to debate!

It's our human instinct to want to prove everything, we need to have an answer to what cannot be answered, it's one of the reasons we are at the top of all the other species. As for faith, that is just up to every individual person, no one will see things the same, even if you do come from the same religion...

1) Because faith starts with God. And science cannot examine "Faith." (And science actually tries to use a con-artist term called "Religious Behavior." I going to write a book on Athiests "Irreligious Behavior." I figure I'd be like Richard Dawkins and Misconstrue your minds. I'll call it "The Fools illusion of a delusion.")
2) Yeah. I'll take a chair and a note pad...
