When do you think an age gap between a older man and younger woman or an older woman and younger man is too great - or is no age gap too big?

I think as you get older age gaps are left frowned upon - for example and 33 and 43 year old would be no problem, but a 16 and 26 year old would be seen as innapropriate
Me and all my friends always go for older boyfriends, we've never had younger, but some people are very happy that way.
I think it depends on the individual, but until you are about 16/17 you should go out with someone more your own age. I'd say 10 years is a big enough age gap - but that doesn't mean it's right.

After you are 20, an age gap should not be a issue. What matters is that your partner makes you feel you are in Heaven on earth, that if that person went away, you would feel as though you have an Ice age where your heart once was. But you would not want to have an age gap where your partner would going to pass away too soon either, that would be devastating.

When YOU or the other person feels the age gap is too big, it's a problem. (Assuming both people are over 18) I don't think there are set rules for this except for what you feel is right. However, a person's chronological age doesn't always match their mental age - I would be more concerned about a person's maturity and experience level than a number.

Depends on those involved. My partner and I are 12 years apart me being the oldest. He isnt bothered I look younger, am sexy, intelligent and fun and he thinks all his christmases came early. Im lucky because he has to keep up with me. Older can mean no hangups. I did go out briefly with a 25 year old but I found it flattering but not sustainable, so go with the flow.

no, you're as young as you feel in your head. I know many thirty-somethings who act like they're in their fifties, and a seventy-year old who regularly goes off on adventures, has a string of girlfriends and is so much fun to be around, you forget his age.
There's a big age gap between my husband and I, but during our thirty years together it's rarely been an issue. Forget the body age, it's the age you are in your head that counts.

ok well i am 23 and my fiance is 36 we started going out when i was 20, he is the best thing to ever happen to me, and my family love him, my dad thinks he is great and has accepted him into the family.

however when you are below 18 you should never go out with anyone older than 20, once you get into your 20's it is different as your maturity levels are not so different anymore.

in my eyes its nothing to do with age, it is the person that counts, never look at someone for their age look at their personality and whats inside. i have the most loving caring partner, and would not change that for the world.

love goes deeper than age, it has no boundaries and knows no limits.

even my grandmother knew about age gaps, she was 32 when she met my grandfather who was only 19. and they were very happy together.

When age gaps are generational it becomes difficult to have common understanding. But age gap isn't the only compatibility issue. Cultural gaps can be just as difficult, or even moreso.

if its true love then there should be no maximum age gap. as long as things are legal! my parents have an age gap of 12 yrs and i dont think thats a massive difference.

Anything over 18 is okay. I do not think age matters. An 19 and a 55 year old.. fine.. even bigger gap.. okay.. if it works for them who am I to judge?
