I understand the whole "fight or flight" response but getting the chills while listening to music has nothing to do with that. What makes a person get chills at certain moments during a song?

Music is much more than just music.

It has an emotional aspect as well. When you get chills from the music....something has triggered your emotions.

I have spent over $20,000 on my stereo and it gives me the chills almost every time I listen to it.

That's also the reason people say music calms the savage beast!

I think it's the emotion attached to the song... one ad on TV here in Canada has a song that always gives me chills but the song has no significance to me..... must be something subconscious
Good question
Good luck!
