I prefer From the Inside and Nobody Listening. In The End is a good one but a little bit pendantic for my tastes. Its hopelessness extends to the present even though it tries to express only hopelessness in the end.

No, this song is not about a deity or a judgement day. Like many of their other songs, it's about a breakup with one of the lyricists girlfriends. Sadly, he tends to fall for girls who are emotionally restrained and he ends up feeling uncared for.

Notice how many of their songs are about the fact that a relationship is falling apart and the repetition of the emotional abandonment motif.

LOL...no, because it was overplayed on the radio. The song is OK even though you should really be in middle school to listen to LP. The "message" is what you're asking about, which makes me laugh. "I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter." Is that your idea of atheism?

P.S. - I know you didn't say you were atheist. But you're asking this because of the song's bleak "message," right?

I hate Linkin Park. They sound like a whiney boy-band meets crappy rap rock.

Sorry chippy- not the world's most popular band!
