A glass is equivalent to 250 ml or 8 fl oz in the US. Most store bought waters come in 500 ml bottles so it would be 2 glasses (although brands such as Aquafina are 591 ml).
Also be aware that 8 glasses is the recommendation for a normal person. If you are exercising, it is beneficial to consume even more than 8 glasses because you can sweat out several pounds of water in a single workout. Try weighing yourself before and after a hard cardio bout. Aim to drink 2 additional glasses of water for every pound of water weight you lost during your workout. So for instance if you lost 2 pounds during your workout, consume 4 additional glasses of water to replenish that water.

Really, you're supposed to consume eight glasses of water, 8 ounces each. In truth you get your water from food as well, so drinking four or five glasses will be just fine.
evidentally, those who are worried about getting wrincles in their old age can reduce that effect of gravity by drinking a lot of water, 10 glasses a day. It isn't necessary, but it does help.

I have recently been told that you should drink half of your weight in oz. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 oz. They should be evenly distributed during the morning, afternoon and evening. Try not to do all or most of it at once.
I have also been told that it is okay to add a lemon or lime slice to keep you from getting bored.
