I'm afraid so. Why did your friend runaway from home? Does he/she have a legitimate reason or did they just want to leave so they wouldn't have to follow their parents rules? Either way, if your underage and live at home make sure your parents are aware of his/her situation. If your friend would be returning to a place where they are being abused it's best that your parents contact the police to properly handle the situation. I know you're trying to do the right thing in not letting your friend be out in the streets but you and your parents could get into some serious trouble. Convince your friend to talk to your parents and possibly the police don't let them get away before the situation is cleared up. There are a lot of people who wish they had a friend like you- My props to you for doing what you think is right for your friend! I wish there were more people like you!! :) Please do whatever it takes to not jeopardize yourself, your family and friend but do it fast! Good Luck!

If you are knowingly helping him, then yes you or your parents may get into trouble. Actually by you helping him, if there is a situation at home that is not healthy or safe for him to be in, you may not be allowed to help him after he is caught; because you helped him before. The best thing to do is contact the juvenile authorities, or Division of Family Services.
Contact the National Runaway Switchboard, they can help.

What are you talking about, I don't understand your question.? You mean you help your friend run away from home, Why? Was it that bad,, please go and get help from the police but before talk to your parents if you are underage and if your not call the police before is to late. The street are not good for kids, there are too many bad person waiting for them and exploit them. Good luck and help your friend.

Call their home and tell them where they are and work with them or call the police and tell them what is going especially if the run-a-way is in harms way
