They can kill you, why do shops still sell them?

yeah its just cuz they pay millions of £s in tax + the government is constantly short of money so this helps! but yes, they do kill people, so DON'T START SMOKING!!!

Because the government earn a lot of money from them. Think of the amount of tax you pay for them, especially in this country. Shops still sell them because they are a good source of income.
People buy them because they are adicted to them, and there is no law against them yet.

Cigar and Pipe smoking exist for the experience of a good smoke. The flavors are complex and satisfying. Since both involve more "puffing" than any deep intake, they are also associated with lower incidents of cancer and other smoking related diseases.
Chaw and cigarettes exist to feed a nicotine addition. They aren't "cool" or even fulfilling experiences. They exist to feed an addiction, and that addiction is, for the addicts, more important than their physical health and well being.

Well it's like this Tough Guy. Cigarettes are like anything else. Cars, alcohol, drugs, dangerous sports, and on and on it goes. Their all dangerous in their own way and if people so choose to indulge upon such things, they risk injury, health problems, and in some cases even death. That's life.

Because people buy them and pay them money. What is the point of most of the arable land in countries like Afghanistan being devoted to the heroin poppy? Because people buy them and pay them more money than they do for growing food.

the shops sell them because they know that people are addicted to them and the shopkeeper doesnt relly care what happens to the customer as long as the pounds keep rollin in

ITS a money thing. MY gf says she sells 50,000 dollars a year in cigeretts a lone in her quick shop. THINK those people are going to stop any time soon? You know the sick part about it? my gf dont smoke and she dont believe in smoking. BUT SHE believes in money, NOW thats where we disagree.

too much of anything can kill you, so the store shelves should be empty - no sugar products, no meat products, etc... for every person you see dying of cancer due to smoking, you'll find a 90 year whose been smoking since they where 12. it's all about your genetic predisposition to these diseases...
