your body goes through cycles when you sleep. If you sleep longer than 8 hours then your body starts another round of cycles...then you wake up when that second round of cycles isn't finished. Your body interprets it as not finished and you are tired. ...there are more correct terms for these cycles and such but i just simplified it. :)

I don't know exactly but I know what I do. I sleep until I feel totally rested on the week ends (I don't have children) even if it means sleeping the entire week end away on occassions. When I finally do get up, I feel entirely rested and eager to face life...exercise if fun, reading is fun, everything is fun after lots and lots of sleep.

When I have to go to work and must get up, tired or no, I do find that the addage...go to bed tired, get up tired always works. I try to go for a walk every evening and most mornings. If I'm really exhausted and stressed out, I'll go to bed very early and just sit up and read or watch a good movie.

Truth is, I'm 50 and very, very healthy Doctors are now saying getting enough sleep is a key ingredient in losing weight and I believe it. I have good blood pressure, good colesterol levels, good blood sugar levels, good memory and IQ...I don't think I sleep too much but I do sleep a lot and I sleep deep and well.

Studies are showing that most people aren't sleeping enough and feel guilt for resting. I think that if you want more than 8 hours of sleep, you should take it and medical reports are agreeing with me...sleep until you feel rested...fully rested. Studies show that most people in America are sleep deprived. When people feel tired all day, it is because they ARE tired and need to sleep.

I don't think there is any reason to feel guilty for hugging pillows for as long as you like (unless you have responsibilities like children). Sweet dreams!!! :)

Because you have had too much sleep, the body only needs approx 8 hours sleep anymore & u will feel tired

hi from yet another 20 year previous scholar. it could have plenty to do with the place you're on your circadian cycle once you awaken. in case you have come out of deep sleep or REM sleep you will sense extra groggy and disoriented, affecting you for something of the day. that occurs to me continuously, I hate it. attempt waking up at distinctive cases, after distinctive lengths of sleep to be sure how many hours you could desire to awaken refreshed. additionally, getting a reliable workout recurring a pair hours formerly you bypass to mattress will help you sleep extra useful and awaken extra refreshed.

Sometimes I feel terrible if I have too much sleep. Kinda feel like i never wake up and am lethargic rest of day.

Prefer to feel energised and awake.

I do if I over sleep I feel so weak that entire day

Because energy feeds off of energy. If you sleep too long, your body isn't using energy, and therefore isn't making any more energy. But if you get up and burn energy, then your body makes more.

your body isnt used to the extra time in bed
if you dont want it to happen again make sure
you get up at the same time each day
