Ok, so I'm really interested in the book of Revelation. This book seems to be more understandable than Daniel. Daniel I really don't get at all. What all these kings and animals mean.
Anyway, I thought if during the Tribulation the Anti Christ would sit himself inside the 3rd temple (which they are thinking about building soon...just FYI) and proclaim himself to be God. And don't the Jewish people also believe that he is the Messiah? Right? I'm not sure. But, if they believe that he is the Messiah, wouldn't he then have to be Jewish? I mean, how else would they allow him to sit inside the temple.
I don't know if my question makes sense.
But, I have two references in the bible that kinda made me think.
The first one is in Genesis 49: 16, 17 "Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan will be a serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse's heels so that its rider tumbles backward."
What does this mean?

I mean, usually the serpent is a symbol for Satan, correct?
The second reference is in Revelation chapter 7. It's "Seal of God on 144,000 from the twelves tribes of Israel."
How come Dan is not mentioned in this one. Instead of Dan, we have Manasseh. Does that have anything to do with Genesis 49?
I need serious answers please.
I don't mean to offend any Jewish people. I'm a big fan of Israel, Jewish people are great. So, don't get this the wrong way.
Thanks.

Ok people, if you don't know anything about the bible, why do you bother answering this question. Seriously.
This is my belief and I'm not judging you for whatever you believe alright? It's just a question, I'm not trashing anyone here, ok?

The theory that the AC will come from the Tribe of Dan has been around since at least the third century after Jesus' death. There is no Biblical substantiation for it.

First of all, if you consider the many places in the Bible where the Tribes are mentioned, God always names 12, doesn't He? But where God mentions 12 Tribes, does He condemn the others He didn't name? Never. For example, Ephraim and Mannasseh are sometimes included with Joseph. Sometimes Mannasseh and Joseph are rolled into Ephraim. This is simply to preserve the "perfect number" of 12 and nothing more.

It is true Dan was the first Tribe to fall into idolatry. However, to make the AC a member of Dan would mean he must actually "bite" Jesus' heals and make Him stumble. Does it make sense to you that this would happen. No, when Jesus returns, He will be a conquering warrier, not a stumbling horse.

On the other hand, Biblical imagery proving who the AC will be is abundent and mostly found within Daniel. For example, Daniel 9:26-27 tells us the AC (the "prince who is to come") is of the same people as those who destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem, presumably in 70 AD. This means he will be of Roman descent -- an Italian.

Another good indicator may be found at Revelation 13. The beast that arises from the sea is the AC. Note that water is a well-used Biblical symbol for Gentiles (in fact, you can see this in Daniel 9:26-27, also). As such, we are to infer that the AC will be Gentile. However, the "False Prophet" arises out of the earth (verses 11-17). This is a strong indicator that he will be a Jew, since earth or sand is the Biblical symbol for the Jews (think about God's promise to Abram).

End time prophecy is one of my favorite subjects. Feel free to email me with questions.

EDIT: "Sweetie baby" and "John S," there is no Scriptural support for the notion that the Jews will ever accept the AC as Messiah. Folks who argue this point to the covenant mentioned at Dan. 9:26-27; however, many nations have made peace covenants with Israel. When a covenant was signed, did you hear of the Jews wondering whether the Messiah really did it? Nope!

A fantastic teaching series on the book of Revelation is by a bible teacher named Malcolm Smith. I'd highly recommend getting it. It's worth every penny and more!! He offers it in 3 different formats - tape, CD, download. Excellent resource!!

The anti-Christ while can include a person at times but it's more of an attitude. "Anti" means over and against, not just against. In other words an alternative. We see an "anti-Christ message in our culture today. It's one that says, "You don't need a savior! You're a good person. Look inside yourself and you'll find all you need!" Or other messages like, "The government will take care of us!" (The beast is the governments of the world in Revelation).

The 144,000 mentioned in revelation is the complete church or believers. It's not a literal number but rather a symbolic number. Numbers in Revelation aren't literal they're symbols that convey a deeper meaning. 144,000 means complete. 12 xs 12 = 144 x 1000 means complete. There were 12 tribes of Israel the chosen nation in the Old Testament; there were 12 apostles in the new Testament who were chosen to call forth the chosen church. Completeness is the idea. In other words, those who are and will be saved - believers - it will be complete and nothing or no one can snatch away God's chosen people.
I hope this helps! God Bless!

Revelation 13:11 "and that i beheld yet another beast (this is likewise a guy, besides the shown fact that it is likewise a gadget. no longer a central authority yet a spiritual gadget) arising out of the earth; ..." supply up a minute. The Anti-christ is defined as arising out of the sea, and since the e book of Revelation is dealing basically approximately completely, or ordinarily with the rustic of Israel, that's God managing his Covenant people as quickly as lower back, in coaching for His return. needless to say each and all of the Gentile international locations are going to be tormented by utilising it, besides the shown fact that that's Israel's seven-3 hundred and sixty 5 days treaty that concerns itself with the time factor and each thing that's happening here. Israel would be so rapid to settle for the Anti-christ and his treaty, his delivers of risk-free practices, and the Temple worship. i do no longer say it to look down on the Jew interior the least bit, yet i've got self assurance that this guy, Anti-christ, would be a Jew. An Apostate Jew to verify. otherwise i won't be able to make certain Israel so without issues accepting his delivers that he will make to them.

You are digging a little deep, Dear.
I have always believed that anti-Christ would have to be Jewish. More than likely he will be a military leader or diplomat and not a "practicing" orthodox Jew. In order for the Jews to almost universally accept him, he must have Jewish blood. Some believe he will come from Iran. I can not make the connection. But, there are people there of Jewish descent.

already the spirit of the anti messiah is in the world

2Jn 1:7 Because many who are leading astray went out into the world who do not confess יהושע ( Yeshua)Messiah as coming in the flesh (100% human.) This one is he who is leading astray and the anti-messiah.

you see already there is a great big organization that claims that the Jewish Messiah is G-d they gave him a Greek name and worship him as G-d.This organization started over 2000 years ago and almost the whole world follows.

i do not force my beliefs only offer my ho it's your choice. It everyone mission to find the truth for themselves.
And to come out of Babylon.

...if you are truly interested in The Book of Revelation... find out about some of the writings of Rev. John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, TX ...he has a very very good cognition of Revelation... (Christian Books stores have his material...or on line). but the Anti-Christ will not be a Jew.
The Anti-Christ will be "anti-Christ"... you'll understand more as you continue on with your study...

Skipping everything else but the question: Whatever the Antichrist is (why God would need one is ridiculous at best) , he is exactly as God created him to do exactly what God already, perfectly knows what he is going to do when he gets here.

I wouldn't worry about Revelations. It was about the Roman Empire and the evil that the Roman Emperor put upon the world in his lust for power and earthly Godhood.

Unlikely. Read John's letters to look at the spirit of anti-Christ.

Also, please understand that there are multiple views of eschatology (end times) and not all of them have that interpretation of Revelations.

Yes, the Jews will accept him as the Messiah, so its likley he will be Jewish, but not necessarily. It is however, almost a given he will definitley be mid-eastern, a great leader, and will be able to bring much calm and peace to many nations, before he "takes over" so to speak.
