brown spots usually mean old, dead cells and dried up old blood. Go to your ob/gyn and get a pap smear and see what they say. There could be a million reasons for this...good luck!

Chances are you've tested too early. You need to wait until you miss you period, and even then waiting a week after the missed period will give you an accurate reult.
It sounds like you could be spotting, which is a sign of a LOT of different things.
Wait a week and take the test. That's the only way you'll know for sure.

I'm a health practitioner. I wouldnt worry about anything as of yet. Its not uncommon to have an irregular appearing menses from time to time. Home pregnancy tests are 97% accurate providing the test was performed correctly. To definetively find out if your pregnant you would need a blood test which would involve seeing a doctor. My advice would be to use contraception and wait for your next period next month.

Test again within the next 7-10 days. If it's negative, you're probably jut stressed. Stressing over the possibility of being pregnant can actually make your period late... It did to me, anyway.

Is your period late? I would wait a few days and take another test. If its still negative then I would call the doc and get yourself checked out. Good Luck!
