So theres this guy I play hockey with, who I'm a little interested in. But, I don't know if he likes me. I was getting the vibe he doesn't cuz anytime I talk to him he's really quiet and wont start talking with me (unless to apologize for hitting me with the puck). But I once spent like 15 minutes talking with him, and he thought it was awsome I broke up with my now ex, and suggested blow torching his pictures.
But I was talking with someone on the team and they were telling me that he's really into me and has the 'hots' for me. He was saying how in the dressing room and everywhere else he's really talkative and really cocky then once I come around he's really quiet and shy.
I do try and talk to him, and I do smile.
You think there's the possibility he may actually like me? If he does why wont he talk to me or make a move?

The team will be going to a tourny 5 hours away and we'll all be at a hotel...that a good time to talk to him? And HOW can I kind of encourage him a little?

Take a risk for a change girlfriend and ask him out. Hey, you'll never know unless you make the move. All I have to say is try being friends with him first cause it's not common for a guy to act the way he does and you don' t want to get serious too quick with someone who has hidden secrets and self-esteem issues. So, just ask him out. Oh, make sure you're completely over you ex first. Never know, he may be thinking you still need a little time. Other than that, go for it.

Why don't you just tell him (without being too forward) that you like him and find out.
Why is it that women can't ever seem to come right out and say something?
Here's something for you all to think about before you get irritated with some guy because he didn't take your hint: He didn't pick up on it!
I know there are some guys out there who are good at it, but they're a minority, believe me. I try my damnedest to pick up on that stuff, but I'd really prefer for her to just tell me when I'm missing it.
So save yourself the angst of "does he/doesn't he?" and ask!
(Guys may act cocky and whatnot, but generally have super issues of self, as in: "She's really hot - out of my league hot - there's no way she'd go out with me." They shoot themselves in the foot A LOT! Personally, I don't mind getting shot down because if that's the case, it meant I'd taken the jump.)

It is obvious! Of course he likes you! He's just shy around girls. There are plenty of guys that I know that are afraid to talk to the girl they like because they are afraid that they'll say or do something stupid!
Try talking to him about something that both of you have strong feelings about. Italian food? A certain hobby? A person that you both dislike? It will make it a lot easier for him to talk if you take the initiative and start the conversation.

Tell you what!! To open up alittle bit, If you have a great game together just give him a great big hug and make it last! Maybe this will open him up alittle more if you get close to him besides talk, Not that they is anything wrong with that!

look in the mirror, you see that pretty woman looking at you. Most men would be a little shy when confronted with someone as pretty as you , give it time,but continue to press on.

He's really shy around you because he likes you, and he just can't muster the courage to ask you out. Tell me, does he avoid looking into your eyes when he talks to you? Judging from your avatar your a cutie, maybe he's a bit intimidated.. You should just ask him out.

OMg it really does sound he likes you! If hes loud n everything usually then all shy when ur around then... duh yeah honestly try talking to him more, im sure he'll become more confident around u, u could even suggest doing something like going for a drink after hockey?

He is probably shy,but give him time to be a little more assertive.He is probably waiting to make sure he knows that you also like him.men get destroyed if they are turned down,so give him time.Good luck.
