lol, sorry, that's just sweet. How well do you know her? Getting her something that she's interested in is the best way to her heart. My girlfriend is artistic, so I got her some canvases and watercolor paper, although she's 28. : P
Costume jewelry might be nice, save the good stuff until she's at least 16-17. If you know her size, get her some clothes that you like, but that fit her style, so she'll like them too. Be careful if you send her Bath & Body Works stuff.... she might think that you're telling her she's dirty, so you'll want to be careful there. But my girlfriend absolutely loves anything from Bath & Body Works.
A trinket to remember you by never seems to hurt either. A stuffed version of her favorite animal, a small crystal figurine, or a small music box will definately keep her mind on you. And if you follow it up with a heartfelt, homemade card, she will absolutely go insane for you.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

I think that the perfect gift for a fourteen year old is like a huge teddy bear with some flowers or roses!! Oh yeah and a little bit of LOVE!!!!

does she wear make-up? a body mis or spry you like (on her). My personal fav... cook her a dinner u made and serve it to her in a candle light dinner...then curl up on the couch and watch a movie.... but before at school give her a dozen red roses and inside the bouqet put the invite to the dinner and a little note that says u love her!

Give her a big nice, loving hug followed by any decent gift ranging from dolls, bacelets, movie to perfume or taking a cue from what she likes the most, that will do.
