Not all faiths are blind and some reasons are not lame, but there has to be a balance between the two. With these you can reach truth, but the "big" truth eludes reason and human emotion can capture only a part of it. It is difficult to hold truth in one's own all too human hands. This does not mean that truth is not knowable, it only means that you and I and everybody else are just human, limited and that we can reach truth only partially. I prefere a part of the truth that no truth at all.

Faith is not blind. It's conditional. It depends more on our interpretation of knowledge and logic.
Logics are not lame. They are not convincing enough.
Faith and logic work hand in hand in search of the truth. Faith shows the target. Logic finds the way towards the target. However, at times, logic defines the target as an illusion just because it cannot find a way towards the target. (The story of sour grapes repeated).
It's quite difficult to know the truth unless we are ready to know ourselves. Who am I? What am I supposed to do? What is the purpose of my life? These are few questions which may bring in a wide range of answers. But the fact is, the answers to these qurestions can only be understood by experience.
Who am I?
Help someone out and ask him about your identity - An unknown person sent by God to help me.
What am I supposed to do?
Help create harmony in the globe, respect others. You will experience a sense of ultimate satisfaction.
What is the purpose of my life?
Stick to your duties as a human being without asking yourself this question. Someday you would realize that your purpose is already served.
So finally I believe, to know the truth, we must make selfless contributions towards His creations. You would be able to experience the eternal bliss this way. Your search for truth would end here.
All the best...

In the Questioner's defense, priests are calling faith blind and logic lame. Here's something you can ask your priests, "Why is it then that God is the Truth and the Knowledge of the world." You might want to also remind them that "Blind Faith" led to many occults that killed lots of people led by David Karesh, and Ted Bundy for examples. Faith can't be blind because faith is established through belief. Belief is then established by knowledge of the truth.

Blind faith is extra risky. surely 'lame logics' are additionally an occasion of blind faith. the guy blinded is in his very own faith. He tries to disprove besides the fact that his faith (or his good judgment) won't settle for. suggestion: real faith lies in following the path shown by using your God. a real believer might appreciate the different persons thought in his God, because of fact to him this is in basic terms a distinctive call of a similar entity.

Who is calling Faith Blind?
Who is calling Logic Lame?
These seem like personal judgements to me.
Not all Faith is Blind... Nor all Logic Lame...
It is in the understanding of the paradox that Truth will be found.
Gotta love the parable of
The Blind Man and the Lame...
------------------------------------------
A blind man was carrying a lame man on his back,
And everything was going well, everything's on track,
When the blind man decides to take it into his head
That he needn't listen to all that the lame man said.
"This stick I have will guide the two of us safe," said he,
And though warned by the lame man, he plowed into a tree.
On they proceeded; the lame man now warned of a brook;
The two survived, but their possessions a soaking took.
At last the blind man ignored the warning of a drop,
And that was to turn out their final and fatal stop.
Which of the two travelers, you may ask, was to blame?
Why, 'twas both the heedless blind man and the trusting lame.

Everything in life is down to personal belief and opinion, as absolutely nothing can be proved, everything relies on varying degrees of probability.
We are unlikely to ever know the truth.
I personally believe that all religion is completely fictitious, and that logic is the best thing we have to consider the future, we can not entrust our future to the stories and ideas created and handed down by people thousands of years ago.

Logics is needed, it just needs to be supplemented by observation and intuition. The final truth is beyond words, but some attempts at it can be made.

The truth is buried somewhere inbetween all of the dogma, anger, hate, biases, jealousies and fear we hold in our hearts and minds. I think if everyone of us were to sit down and open ours hearts to the state of our own minds (i.e. you feel angry, vindictive) then we are able to acknowledge it and slowly change. I believe we all have intrinsic truth, it's just buried under a lot of suffering. Good question, Aum. (Just aummmmmed this morning for my yoga practice)

Where ever did you get the idea that faith is blind? The Bible is full of reasons to believe it is the inspired Word of God.
Faith: Hebrews 11:1: "Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld."
John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
The Bible gives us fulfilled prophecy, historical facts, scientific evidence (of things that only God could have known at the time they were written) so that we base our faith, not blindly at all, but because of knowledge.
Proverbs 2:1-5: "2 My son, if you will receive my sayings and treasure up my own commandments with yourself, 2 so as to pay attention to wisdom with your ear, that you may incline your heart to discernment; 3 if, moreover, you call out for understanding itself and you give forth your voice for discernment itself, 4 if you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it, 5 in that case you will understand the fear of Jehovah, and you will find the very knowledge of God."
1 John 4:1: gives us this advice in order to know that we have the truth..."Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world."
It actually takes reason to understand the Bible truths. Without reason, one would easily be mislead into believing doctrines of men, as opposed to Bible truth.
