Hello,
Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.
I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org
Cheers ;)

Ok, firstly... if diets actually worked... there would be no diet industry... secondly... there is no fast way to loose weight...
the best way for you to loose weight, is to keep your protiens and carbs seperate (and being a skater i swear by it) counting calories is too much hastle...
your body doesn't work well in breaking down carbohydrates and protiens together... if you seperate these, your half way there.
basically... if you fancy eating meat... eat meat, but don't eat potatoes with it, stay away from sweetcorn and peas... eat any amount of other vegetables with it, salads, ... if you choose meat, stick to meat for the entire day... so if you want an english breakfast in the morning (grilled not fried of course!) have your english breakfast but don't put anything like hash browns or beans with it... have tomatoes.
on the other hand... if you fancy carbs... eat carbs.. have a jacket spud with cheese and beans, or pasta with a tomato and basil sauce, or vetetable curry (home made, not from the take away lol) and rice....
make sure you stick to either meat or carbs for the whole day...
you can eat what you like as long as it's in the selected group and i promise you you will loose weight.
i love my food, but i have to keep on top of my weight at all times (having to wear skin tight skating dresses hardly flatter the figure when you have more rolls than greggs!)
I am really terrible for chocolate and sweet things and put on weight sooo easily!! ....this is how i keep on top of it, i can guarentee you will loose about 5lb in your first and maybe second week of doing it and continue a steady 2lb a week after that (that means cutting out the boozing i'm afraid)
the difference between this and other diets is simple, you can eat what you want within reason... you don't have to count calories.... you don't have to cut out treats i.e chocolate completely - just be sensible (unlike me lol) ...
crash diets that involve protien shakes and all the rest of it arn't healthy for you, your body needs the nutrients from your food, it's also important to realise that as soon as you stop drinking those shakes and start eating again the weight will pile back on...
i'd put a bet down that if you follow the rules of carbs on one day and protiens on another you'll loose about a stone in your first 3-4 weeks...Also make sure you drinks lots of water!!
your likely to loose more weight if you say, choose 5 days of protien over the week and 2 of carbs.. but weight will come off steadily either way.
give it a go, you've nothing to loose (well, except weight! lol)
if you have any questions or want to know more about it, drop me a mail or an IM and i'll answer your questions..
best of luck!

I've had steroid tratments for allergies in the past so know what you mean. It generally mean you retain water a lot easier than other people. I cut down on my salt intake and lost weight in days. I do have a healthy diet and excercise regularly though.
Since you have quite a bit to loose I would however reccomend speaking to you GP for some advice.

wow, well there are two ways to lose weight, eat 3 big meals a day and work out, or 6 small meals a day and workout. And they have to be heartily. but if you want to be crazy just drinks lots of water and don't eat much, unless your hungry.

Listen drugs are a load of shite, take it from someone whose just lost a lot of weight. It takes plenty of will power, exercise and strictness!
Id reccommend "lipotrim,", ask your nearest pharmasist about it! its a diet where your only allowed 3 healthshakes a day and about 30 minutes exercise a day, also about 6 pints of water a day, ive lost 3 stone in a month.
now im a new person i love eating healthy, exercising and still enjoy socialising like a mother f***er!! But you really need to WANT to do it.
I Know how hard it can be, took me ages to overcome it but well worth it in the end. . .BEST OF LUCK!!!

losing more then two pounds a week is bad advice
you will only gain it back as fast or faster then you lose it
plus it goofs up your system and sets you up to be a yo yo
dieter..but if you must..then see a doctor of sports..he may show you a way that is safe and effective..but don't lose your health over a foolish diet...it could cause a lot of health issues

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
