The news story about the thousands of illegal--as in felony--survelliance conducted by the FBI is being called 'inexcusable.' If you or I, conducted felony breaking and entering, wire taping, invasion of Privacy (1964 civil rights laws), and the list continues, we'd be hauled to jail, bond posted, and so on. Why have these agents not been arrested and subjected to the laws they are entrusted to uphold? I think it is so much worse if you a re in law enforcement and you violate that trust and the laws, and then to not have the same enforcers not arrest their own, makes me sick. It is not 'inexcusable' when it's a FELONY!!! Let's see them taste alittle of their own medicine. Put them in Jail---where they belong and then I'll know america has a Constitution that the Supreme Court upholds.

It's called the "good old boy" system where no matter what you do wrong, if you are with the government you are pretty safe. Multiple wrongs have been committed over the past several decades, yet very few have been prosecuted or convicted. I do believe that those who were prosecuted, for the most part, were actually used as scape goats for a much wider group of people.
You are right. If one of us "peons" did anything like this, we would be in prison immediately and, probably, prosecuted under the "Homeland Security" act.

i'm sorry, i understand which you're dealing with lots splendid now. yet your tale extremely extremely made me snigger. Your overweighted lady buddy became busted at your place on an analogous time as you and your spouse have been away. You cheat your spouse with an overweighted lady and now you could restoration the door (and attempt to make it so she will't tell) and save all human beings around from speaking related to the side. guy, the FBI paying to restoration your door is the smallest of your problems... besides, i'm afraid there is not any longer lots you're able to do approximately it. government workers has Sovereign immunity, granted by using the 11th modification. it is not any longer sparkling and has been debated many circumstances. even with the undeniable fact that, there are precedents of appropriate courtroom rulings analyzing the 11th as Sovereign immunity for government workers. the federal government waived it in part. you could verify the Federal Tort Claims act which waives the immunity if a tortious (a civil incorrect) act of a federal worker reasons harm. it style of feels to be your case. there is likewise the Tucker act even with the undeniable fact that it applies purely on circumstances the place the government is occasion on a settlement.

Who do you arrest? The agents in the field, their superiors, the director of the FBI, or whoever was commanding the FBI to gather the data? If you say all of the above, then who watches out for us while our agents are serving prison terms?

The 4th Amendment protects someone from "unreasonable" searches and seizures. Spying on someone who has ties to terrorism, is totally reasonable.

Because the matter is still being investigated.

Why don't you at least wait for the investigation to be finished before you start arresting people who may have had nothing to do with it?
