I was wondering what the cost of the shots would be for a new kitten. I am thinking of adopting a kitten, and she hasnt had her shots yet...I already know where I will get her spayed and the price of that. But I dont know what the cost is for their shots. Thank you in advance.

I am located in Huntington Beach, CA. I am not adopting the kitten, I actually saw a post on Craigs List, the lady has two litters of kittens, and the kitten I want is $20, but none of the kittens have any shots

Any Pet Co. stores do the kittens 1st shots for like 30 or $40.00. For the whole package!

Usually when adopting a kitten, they take care of all the necessary shots and get the medication needed if he or she has worms. Also most adoption centers schedule and take the kitten to get spayed. It is all included in the adoption fee, it covers the necessary medical procedures a kitten does need. Talk to someone at the shelter or humane society where you are adopting the cat. If they do not take care of a vet visit, shots, and spaying, adopt elsewhere. If they have not taken the kitten to the vet yet, it may have feline lukemia or HIV so ask. Otherwise if you have your heart set on a particular kitten already, ask the adoption center if they know about a local animal clinic that offers discounted shots for cats. They can be relatively cheap if done this way $5-$20 a piece. Good Luck!

It depends on where you go. It could range anywhere from around $40 to $120. A lot of the bigger Veterinarians will want to put you in a kitten package, because in the first year they have to visit the Vet twice for a second round of shots, they also want to do tests to make sure the kitten is healthy. It is an investment, but as a proud cat owner, they are worth it.
Best advice is to crack up your local yellow pages and start making calls and doing a little price comparison.

Do you have a tractor supply store anywhere around you?You can buy all the vaccinations there for about $3.50 a peace and give them yourself except rabies shot and if you find out where they are having a 4-H rabies clinic you can get the rabies shot for about 6.00.You can go to a vet site on line to let you know which shots and how old to give them so you know he age to give the shots and boosters. It really isn't hard and its a lot cheaper.

If you are "adopting" all of that should be done and taken care of. Please check the place you are getting the kitten. Do not give anyone money if no vetting has been done to the pet.
