I was supposed to get them when I was younger, but I didn't think my teeth were bad enough for my braces. Then in my late teens my teeth started getting a lot worse. Now I'm considering getting braces but I'm hesitant about getting them at my age, and keeping them on for a few years.

No it isnt too old. Some people dont get them until their 30s or 40s cause their parents couldnt pay for it back when they were kids. No one will really care about you having braces at 20. Anyone who loves you will get used to it. And your smile will be great in 1 to 2 years and then you will have the rest of your life with a great smile! So if you can afford it do it!
I was 16-18 when i had braces. I am glad my parents were able to afford it and even though it was horrible at the time to have braces, you get use to it and then your teeth turn out so perfect.

My sister got braces at 31 years of age, they just came off last year at 33.
So no you are not too late, at least you need them.
She got them for vanity reasons, her teeth were not bad at all anyone would have thought they were perfect. That tells you an orthodonist will give u braces just cuz u want them.

I say you basically ought to bypass with it. imagine about it this manner, in case you do not get the braces and finally end up with undesirable tooth, you'll likely be more beneficial self experience of correct and incorrect of your self than you at the prompt are with the braces. i in my view would not steer away from a guy basically because he had braces.

Not at all. My aunt had to get braces when she was forty, so 20 is not too old.

I had braces for a year and a half, and although weren't very comfortable or convenient for eating some foods, they have made a huge difference.

Not at all! They now have the invisalign braces they cost more, but you'll never be able to tell you have them. Even if you go with metal i think you would look fine. I say get them!
