OK, so friend number 1 gave me his road trip because he didn't like it, wasn't in his car enough to really use it etc. so i was excited, i used it for a while then, left my car at home and went back to college, so i let my best friend use it because i couldn't use it without my car. but now I called her and asked for it back because I decided I wanted my car at college with me... and i called her a couple days before I was coming home to let her know. anyway.. i get home and she said she can't find it anywhere. and now she just called me and was like i really don't know where it is... do you want me to buy you a new one. now I know she can't really afford it... but I can't either... we are both college student. soo... what do i do? i mean if i had bought it originally, then i would definetly ask her to buy me a new one.. but since it was given to me... i don't know if i should?

You would be in the right. But you will also most likely loose a friend. But if you don't really need it and can get along with out it, then giving her a pass on this and letting it go will win her over as a friend for a long time.
So the question is how important is this road trip vs. the friend.

A cooler. purchase soda, juice, milk, water to save in the cooler to lead away from the severe expenditures on the gas stations. also, take some lunch meat, sliced cheese, not straightforward boiled eggs, unmarried servings of yogurt, cherry tomatoes you've washed, grapes you've washed. basically be particular to %. the lunch meat & cheese in an hermetic field so as that no water from the cooler receives into the beef. Bread, chips, granola bars, snack crackers, cookies, pudding cups, paper plates, plastic forks/spoons, apples, oranges, bagels, cream cheese. i'd take some bath towels and turn flops. quit at a truck quit and purchase a bath for a pair funds slightly. dozing at a relax quit is superb, yet likely the safer guess is to sleep in one day in the automobile parking zone of a wal-mart supercenter or yet another 24 hour save. each each now and then, the roadside relax parts at the prompt are not very secure. earlier you bypass, you should have the oil on your automobile replaced and the engine serviced. i'd take care of to pay for to purchase a tire if mandatory-round a $one hundred. Are there any toll roads you'd be vacationing on? Ice for the cooler. i have not in any respect finished it, yet some human beings I worked with may quit at a inn in the mornings between 7-9 a.m. and bypass to the foyer and devour the continental breakfast. They suggested the mornings clerks did not know who had stayed the previous evening. for sure, this would not artwork with each inn, yet may with some. be particular to %. tylenol, pepto bismol, cough syrup. you ever favor this stuff until eventually you want them and they are expensive on the gas station.

The moral of the story is not to lend things out! I too, learned this lesson the hard way. She should try to do something for you to make up for the fact that she lost it. Maybe not buy a new one but take you out to dinner or something nice like that. And remember not to ever lend her anything again since she doesn't take care of borrowed property well.

I think if you loaned it to a friend, the friend should give it back to you or replace it. Your friend should have taken good care of it or not used it. But she should have made sure return it to you in the same condition she received it (or as close as possible).
I don't know what a roadtrip is. But, she should make an effort to make it up to you.

Since you didn't pay for it, and it was given as a gift....I'm gonna say don't make her buy you a new one. If you wants to do that, fine let her, but do not insist.

Unless you paid for it... I dont think you can expect her to buy you a new one. She was nice enough to let you use it all that time for free. Hopefully, it will show up when she cleans her place :)

While you would be in the right to request a new one, you should consider what you value more...
your roadtrip, or your friendship?

You can't expect someone to pay you for something you did not even pay for initially. Buy your own.
