If I were you, I would certainly want to know how he gets in. The next time the cat comes in, have several of your friends come over and stand everyone around the house to see where he goes out. Then, block up the hole or whatever it is that he's able to get into your house. I was watching a program on tv the other night, and rats were coming into this house. They were coming in through an opening up on the roof, where an air vent was.

Do you have a basement? There was a cat getting into my inlaws house through the basement or some crawl space for the longest time. Try to figure out how it's getting in and fix that problem. For now I say be nice to the cat, it obviously likes you!

Spray him next time with orange spray. Cats hate oranges. You should spray around your windows and possible entrances with orange spray. It will not want to come in if everything smellys like oranges. Make sure you don't get it in their eyes by the way. That can really hurt them but the smell is harmless. It just drives them nuts though.

Sheeeze! Tough crowd, I love cats! I just know how frustrating it can be when a stray won't leave you alone. Oranges don't hurt them. It's common knowledge among cat owners so they won't sit on things and stuff. Why all the thumbs down? : (

If he is wearing a collar, call his owners up and let them know. If not call animal control and let them know the problem so they can remove the cat and either find the owners or adopt it out

please do not kill it 'bag it as you say.it's probably a lost and hungry cat that got lost due to the weather or moving or etc.....call animal control and they can set up a humane trap to trap him' so he can get the food and shelter he needs, due to the weather problems this year' more animals have gotten lost from their owners 'and we must have patience to get these pets back to the family's that love them,,,,,,,,,,GOD BLESS
