I used to work at a resturaunt where you had the choice of blackened steak, blackened chicken and blackened shrimp on a ceasar salad. 7 out of 10 would probably get the shrimp because most ceasar dressings have a little bit of anchoives in it and would go well with the shrimp. Next popular choice would be chicken because the taste complements the dressing well. Most customers would say that steak may clash with the taste of the ceasar dressing.

Blackened Steak, it's a hot sear on the outside and you can control the internal doneness. Blacken Shrimp? No way, unless you like eating erasers, by the time you infuse the shrimp with the flavor they will be over-cooked and tough

Shrimp for sure. Steak on a Caeser doesn't taste as good. Plus, Caeser dressing is fattening and a steak is fattier than shrimp, so keep the calories low and keep the food tasty!

I have to choose?? I've had the steak on Caesar before and it was good and memorable. But I'd have to go with the shrimp since I love seafood more than steak.

Personally I don't like any meats on my Caesar Salad, but that's just a personal preference.

both sound delicious. though for caesar salad, more people think that seafood is the more suitable choice than beef.
