I met my first lover when I was sitting on the front steps of my apartment building, of all places. I had no idea he even lived in the complex. I had come home from work one day and just as I opened my apartment door, I smelled gas and suddenly realized I had left the stove on that morning. The pilot had obviously blown out and the place reeked of the horrible odor. Covering my nose and tossing my purse on the sofa, I kicked off my high heels and rushed to the kitchen --turning off the stove and quickly raising the kitchen window, before rushing back out of the apartment and slamming the door behind me. I then went outside and sat on the front steps of the building (something I'd never done after work before), where I enjoyed a cigarette.
I was relaxing in my stocking feet, when the sexiest 6' 2", broad shouldered and marvelously attired man I'd ever seen approached the building. I thought he was absolutely gorgeous and when he saw me sitting there, he stopped and spoke, glanced down at my feet, looked back up at me, and began to laugh. His laugh was contagious, and I laughed along with him for a while. Then, after we both calmed down, I eagerly explained why I was barefooted, so he'd know I didn't always walk around that way. He was staring into my eyes the whole time and when I finished my story he gave me such a smooth, sexy smile that it stole my heart away. I was hooked on him from that very moment and was in heaven when we made beautiful love a month later.

Walking down the street with a friend and as he was walking by, she and I were discussing where we wanted to eat and I said I am not sure what I want to eat. He said, you can have me and when I look up, i say this really handsome guy. I asked for his number and he gave it to me. I called later that night and the rest is history. We have been together for 16 years.
