I get what you're saying..I understand that the people coming here illegally are desperate and in dire circumstances, I don't doubt that at all. However, as someone who grew up in dire circumstances myself (yes, I know what it's like to go to bed hungry for weeks on end, to not have heat in the winter and to face the uncertainty of whether or not you're going to have a roof over your head), I still believe that breaking the law is unacceptable. That doesn't mean that I don't understand the motivation behind it, but it is what it is. After all, we have hundreds of thousands of legal American citizens who are homeless, who are hungry, who are in desperate situations and who are crying for an opportunity to support their families. However, should one of these people choose to rob a bank or sell drugs in an attempt to support their family, we don't see protests in the streets to exonorate them of their crimes. We may understand the motivation behind their actions, but the truth is that they've broken the law, regardless of the reasons/circumstances and in this country, there are consequences for breaking the law. If there aren't, then what's the point of even having a legal system?

Everyone has the right to survive. I don't blame them for their attempts but it seems it's easier to blame the American people who want their laws enforced than it is to blame the Mexican government for whats going on. As well as the American government for not enforcing our laws and allowing crooked business owners to get away with hiring illegals. The American government DOES send them money. The Mexican people here send money to them many in liu of paying taxes and other bills, that are then placed on the American tax payer to cover. So we are paying and loosing all the way around and now we're faced with an invasion which is degrading America across the nation and enough is enough. We have poverty here as well. This invasion is not only taking jobs from the most needy, but they are also taking the most affordable housing from our own people, they are depleating the social services ment for our poor to the point where hospitals and clinics across this country are being forced to close under the weight of the expenses. Our school systems have done a big nose dive from where we used to be and part of that is a direct result from having to cut beneficial programs for our citizens to accomodate illegals and anchor babies who refuse to learn our language and have instead wanted this "bi-lingual" education which has been and absolute failure. There are some very nice illegals......there are also a huge group of not so nice illegals. I know really nice American people who have broken the law and some not so nice ones as well. Bottom line is poverty is no excuse to be exempt from the law whether you're from Mexico or here. Life isn't fair.....I didn't write the rules. I just expect them to be obeyed. Do you think it's fair to be a law abiding citizen and forced to obey laws and then have illegals just come in, take your jobs and also get away with other crimes and never be punished?
Mexico is horribly corrupt and they have alot of their own mess to clean up before any real change would ever take place no matter how much money was sent there. I don't like seeing areas of my country turned into the same h-hole people supposidly came here to get away from.

Honestly, I seriously dislike people who flagrantly violate standing laws. Disregarding the jobs argument and the supporting people back home argument and any other argument, it boils down to the law says follow procedures to enter this country legally. Does the system need some work, you bet. A primary example is the policy of making any child born on U.S. soil a citizen. Many women close to delivery risk their health on crossing the border in hopes of having a baby in the States. And if the baby is a citizen, the mothers at least must be allowed to stay with them and care for them. However, hoping that as an illegal immigrant you can dodge the authorities long enough for some politician to declare amnesty is NOT a way to become a productive member of society.

I´m half Mexican too and I don´t support illegal immigration. I have illegal relatives in California and Texas and none of them faced a life or death situation in Mexico that forced them to leave the country. Some of them had steady, good-paying jobs in Mexico and had no need to go to the US. They just did it out of greed.
If I were born and raised in Mexico I would not go to the US illegally. I would do everything possible to get an education in Mexico (which is entirely possible, considering the fact that government universities are tuition-free) and improve my country, not run away from it.
It is not the US´s responsibility to "help" the Mexican government. They need to help themselves.

a guy or woman's race tells me no longer something approximately what they suspect, or the place their loyalties lie. the certainty that a guy or woman is in the country illegally, besides the fact that if, tells me that they do no longer admire our u . s . or its rules. So I even have themes with unlawful immigrants via options they have made, no longer any race because of the fact of their genes. I additionally am very worried approximately this split between racial and ethnic strains. the subject should not be white against Hispanic, or black, or absolutely everyone else. we ought to consistently all be individuals. i be attentive to a pair have faith that the Southwest replace into "stolen" from Hispanics with the help of whites. that may no longer genuine. the conflict in 1848 replace into fought over many themes and regulations, and distinctive Hispanics and whites fought against mexico. If we can view each and every thing in terms of race, then this republic will falter. i'm proud, and grateful, to be an AMERICAN. (I additionally honor my ancestors and their history - rather on one or 2 trip journeys.) and that i welcome others who sense the comparable. colour or race should not matter. sturdy question!

What life will Americans have when we have to keep paying for the schools, hospitals, etc. that they are getting and leaving American citizens to pay for. Illegal means criminal, simple as that, and I think if any body Mexican, Asian, Africans what ever that is here illegal needs to go back. We keep catering to illegals, one day America will be the same as 3rd world countries, My child is now being homeschool today because of the school systems here in El Paso, where all the illegals children can get in but my son is American Citizen and can't even go to his own school because they didn't have enough room for him, we keep trying to feel sorry for these people if you want, I don't, I live with these people everyday in El Paso where we have around 500,000 illegal, noone says nothing, Illegal means illegal nothing more

I don't CARE what "life they have in mexico"!!
They are NOT legal citizens of THIS country!!!!
They are CRIMINAL INVADERS, who are in this country ILLEGALLY!!! And, NO i would NEVER sneak into a country ILLEGALLY!!!
I would not even want to live in a country where 86% of the people do NOT want them here!!!!
You feel sorry for these people NOW,but how will you feel in the future, when they are taking the food from YOUR children??? When YOU are unable to find a job that pays a decent wage, because there are so MANY illegals here who are willing to work for LESS???
ILLEGALS are COSTING everyone of us in one way or another!!!!
It is NOT up to the United States to support eveyone in this world!!!!
It is NOT up to the American people to bail out other countrys!!!!
ILLEGALS should NOT even be OUR problem!!! They are mexico's problem!!! mexico just PAWNS them off onto US, and it is NOT FAIR!!!!

Help their government like we're helping Iraq? Yeah, that'd go over really well!
If they're so hard-working, why can't they work to improve their own country instead of dragging us down?
In America, American citizens come first. Pedro is welcome here if he comes here LEGALLY.
I have nothing against Mexican people as a whole. My issue is with people coming here illegally, whether they're Mexican or Canadian!

Many of those illegals don't want to be here in the US and they are angry that they have been forced to do so. They want to reclaim Aztlan, which they feel was illegally taken from them, even though it wasn't...these United States paid for it and then even won it with the battle at the Alamo.
If I were in their place I would try to respect the nations laws...ALL the nations laws.
